I believe all sites are full hookup and low rates! It is connected to a small lake with swimming beach, beautiful walking trail around the lake, and a fishing pond with docks to fish. Mountain biking and hiking trails across the street. We told our friends about it too. We will definitely be back.

Not a lot of spacing or privacy, but all full hookups. The park itself is very nice with a paved trail around the pond and fairly quiet during the week when we were in town. Less than 10 minutes getting to the heart of Kalamazoo. Bathrooms just ok - nice new looking building, but then you get inside and there is only 1 shower per gender, oversized space so they definitely could have fit 2-3 easily. Shower is ok but could use a deep clean.

Level concrete pads with green grass spaces and 50 amp FHUs. All utilities work well. Nice picnic table and solid fire rings. Our satellite connected. The rings have no air venting so there was a lot of smoke from those having fires.
The small lake, volleyball courts, tennis courts, group shelter and playground provide a lot of options for family play. I was very impressed with how clean and nicely laid out everything is.

We are so glad we found Markin Glen—it’s the best campground we’ve stayed in during the year we’ve been full timing! There’s a lake for swimming/fishing, walking trails, mountain biking trails, and lots of wildflowers. There is usually 1-2 trains/day (tracks right next to the park), but otherwise it’s so quiet! All FHU sites, concrete, level, with a firepit and picnic table. Have used the facilities a couple times and they’re always clean and dry. Only drawback for us is that there’s a 14-day stay limit (have to leave for 48 hours then can return), otherwise we would have stayed all summer!

This is a very affordable county park with a few RV sites. Unlike many county parks across the US which can be marginal, this is set in a beautiful quiet park complex with all of the necessary 30/50 amp full hook-ups amenities usual to most larger RV parks. We stayed 3 days while visiting our daughter. The RV park has a wonderful lake with an island in the middle that you can walk to over a bridge. Plenty of options for walking, biking, swimming, fishing and picnicking. They are very dog friendly. We experienced a small train next to the park one time and it was very brief. Generally this place is a very quiet peaceful place for families and travelers.
The staff has firewood at the entry and bends over backwards to help. Shopping of any kind is on Douglass Ave about 10 minutes from the park. There's anything you need here. This is a college town and home to WMU. The town is broken into different communities with little parks everywhere and well kept older homes.
We found this place to be a real hidden gem, but book early as they only have 20-30 sites and are constantly booked up.
We highly recommend this RV park.

Level spots, quiet ( 1 train a day though) Nice beach area for when it is warmer. Very clean and quiet (was fall so all oldies like us). Don't get there early on Sunday, you will need to wait in the parking lot before going to your spot at 3pm.

This is a large, green, very pretty county park campground. The campground was built in the early 2000's and it shows. The roads are nicely paved, the sites are level concrete, there are full hook ups, and nice walking trails throughout the park. The only complaint we had, and it's not the fault of the campground, was that we couldn't get an Uber or Lyft to come pick us up. It's rare that we stay near a city of any size that we can't get a ride to and from the city (we are sticklers about not drinking and driving, so it's probably more an issue for us since we like going to breweries.) Overall, this was an excellent stay and we would definitely return.

It was about 2 years ago as a fairly new RVer I camped here and thought "nice park". Now that I'm back I know better... This is a NICE PARK!!! Located on the rolling near north side of K'zoo near the nature center, surrounded by trails, woods, and a small lake, this park is picture-perfect. Sites are concrete pads and asphalt driveway, nearly level everywhere, full hookups, shade trees, modern bathhouse, and easy telephone reservations just a couple of hours before arriving. But watch it, they nearly always fill up on the weekends. Sites 1, 3, 5, 7, 9, 11, 13 are pull through, the remainder back-in. The photos are quite good. Don't forget the Kalamazoo Valley River Trail, Tall Grass Prairie, and Maple Hill Trail for mountain biking, all nearby. Enjoy!
