Reaching the dispersed camping for the Lily Lake area requires you to pass through a section of private property prior to reaching the National Forest. Please respect this property so we can continue to enjoy the area. Exit highway 24 onto the well maintained gravel road 19 and keep to the left at the intersection to stay on 131.
Once you pass the gravel pit the road will narrow for a brief section before opening back up as a dirt road. This road does have some ruts but overall does not require any special vehicle clearance for the majority of the sites.
There are multiple large pull offs along the road able to accommodate most rigs. Many of the sites have pull throughs. If you don't have high clearance do not pass the Lily Lake trail sign (shown in attached pictures) as beyond that the road has large bolders. At the sign there is an intersection that a 30 foot trailer should be able to turn around in.
The sites are all well shaded and most have fire rings. The spacing of the sites allows for privacy even though the woods are thin. The area was very quiet and peaceful.
If you have courage, 4x4, and clearance you can reach the coveted site on the banks of the lake. Lily Lake does live up to its name and is covered in Lily pads. There are mosquitoes in the area of the lake.
The area has three hiking trails and is used for OHV riding and mountain biking. In the winter the roads are used for snowmobiling. It is close to Tennessee Pass which also has more hiking and mountain biking opportunities.
Wildlife is abundant in the area and we even saw a big horn sheep family.
The area had unreliable Verizon coverage. The best coverage was at the lake and it enough to make a phone call.
