This campground is one of the best we had in Canadian Rockies. Brand new shower facilities.

Beautiful campground surrounded by the high peaks of Yoho National Park. Our site was laid out in an open field leaving no privacy but with the lack of trees, the mountains are in full view. The bathrooms are dated but functional and when we were there the single shower house wasn’t available. It was being remodeled. The entire campground has the Yoho River running by on the northern side. This was a raging torrent in August. Cell service in the campground is surprisingly good. We only had one bar but with the WeBoost turned on we had ample speed to get some work done and watch Netflix when we weren’t exploring the local trails. We would have stayed longer had the showers been in working order.

No services. Slow cumbersome check-in. They have a new computer system which will be taking reservations in the future but it is at the headache stage right now. This campsite has only recently opened for the season. They are still rebuilding structures apparently damaged in avalanche this past year we heard. Maybe 1/5 cordoned off under construction. A grassy central area has nice views of local mountains. Some sites in trees look cramped. The 2 toilet blocks we saw were in poor condition, paint peeling everywhere, and 3 toilets blocked. No shower facilities. No dump station although there is 1 close by <1km.
Not a lot of garbage bins - had to look for it. $9 fire ‘fee’ which includes all you want firewood from large pile near construction site. All fairly chunky, wet and dirty. Can hear distant trains but not an issue.
