Overall Rating
Ivan's is located directly below Red Rock dam and is pretty quiet during the week. It's nestled between the river to the north and a steep bluff on the south. This is definitely a smaller campground and the curves are tight, especially the turnaround near site 18, should you decide to venture back there. We are 35' and managed but the front truck tire and the inside trailer tires were in the dirt. Although I've seen sites closer together, these are closer together than the sites across the river at Howell Station. Nice paved bike/walking trail to the dam and campground across the river. The bike trail also connects to the nearby town of Pella. I marked that we would stay here again but only if we were fortunate enough to get site 18 again. No reservations, which makes this a good stop during the weekend. Many of the nearby campgrounds can be difficult to get into on the weekends since the Corps of Engineers went 100% reservation only.
