I don't get it. They want $15 for a dump and 800` down the road Chevron lets you dump for free. Both locations have potable water.

The City of Homer has long had dump stations available for its visitors. For many years, they were priced at a very fair $2. Recently, the price went up to $15. This one is easy access, especially if you're headed north. The site by Homer Public works has a potable water station before the dump.
The city also has a dump at the Fishing Hole Campground which is also $15 now. That location has the potable water on the other side of a driveway which can make it more challenging with the traffic. The dump cost is NOT included in Fishing Hole camping costs.
