Bathrooms where clean but both toilets were clogged. There was a good amount of trash at the backside of our site when we got there. The water spigot by us tasted pretty bad. The ranger that talked to us was very nice!

We had space #33 with our 35’ travel trailer. We stayed three nights. We enjoyed the open spaces, rolling hills, rock piles, and nearby water. Bathrooms were alright. Not real clean, and shower drain was plugged. Not a problem, we used our trailer bathroom and appreciated their available dump station.

Other sites look nice but the office is closed. Beware.

Hidden View Campground at Hensley Lake is a classic Corps of Engineers campground. The campsites are uniquely designed and well-furbished. At Hidden View, the campsites wind along the road following the contour of the land. Many of the sites have great views of the lake, though none are waterfront at this time due to the extremely low lake levels. Some campsites sit under large shady oaks. Those that are not under the oaks have small pavilions to shade the picnic table. Because each campsite is uniquely designed I would recommend using Google satellite view to get a handle of the layout of a potential campsite. Some campsites are best for tents and others work well with motorhomes. A few do have the picnic table on the "wrong" side when a trailer is backed in. But many of those would be great sites for a tent or van. One nice touch is that each campsite has it's own trash can that is emptied several times a week by the staff. The dump station here is a nice two-lane affair that has easy access. The campground roads are wide and paved so no one should have any access problems. This is just a very well-designed campground.
There are a few hiking trails near the campground and a longer one on the other side of the lake. But the real recreation here is the lake. There is a boat ramp close to the campground and we saw plenty of shore fishermen. I did not see a dedicated beach, but there were people swimming along the shore of the campground.

As for access easy paved roads all the way in. Big campsites with picnic benches and fire pits. I didn't use showers or bathrooms but they looked nice and well kept.
Cell service not great but put up external antenna on verizon and then I had great service. My Att router had great service as well.
Overall a great spot to camp and be away. The Army Core of Engineering camps are some of my favorite and are often very few people that use them.

It was seriously quiet at night, save for some faint barking dogs at a house outside the grounds. USACE campgrounds are some of the nicest around and this is no exception. Lake was nearly empty, but if it was full, the waterfront sites would be really sweet. I imagine during the summer it gets a bit rowdy.
Beautiful landscape around the lake with cool rock formations and oak trees. Would be a great spot to paddle a kayak in winter with minimal power boat traffic.

But the ACE truck came around every afternoon and checked reservations. All of them were really nice. The bathrooms and showers were clean and hot! I only saw one tarantula and it was stuck in the garbage can. I had to rescue the poor bugger. The grocery store in Yosemite lakes is well stocked if you forget anything.

Bathrooms were clean enough. Everything worked and it was a pleasant stay. Sites are right on the loop roads. We felt like we had privacy because it wasn't very full during our stay but during high peak times it might feel very exposed. The views are great and the drive in is very nice.
Lots of big rigs on site while we were there. Paved, even roads (though over hills) all the way there.
$30 for electric and water is a pretty good deal in CA. $20 for sites without but there are water spigots around the campsite (some seemed to have water but no electric). There are a lot of bathrooms and they had warm showers with good water pressure.
No noise at all (we were probably the loudest (we have a 2 year old), minus the barking dogs from some tent campers) but we were there off season.

We stayed here in our Toyota horizon 12/29/19. We enjoyed the campground. It is really quite beautiful and worth the little drive out here off 99. There is good signage out to the campground. The road is a little rough but not too bad, it seems like they’re replacing sections of it. There were tow behinds there that were pretty big (20 plus feet or so). the staff was friendly (we had to pay in the morning at the ranger station, no iron ranger access). The bathrooms were clean and nice, had showers but we didn’t use them. There are multiple trails around the area that are a short walk from the loop we stayed in. Trash cans at all the sites, poles to hang lanterns were at some of the sites too. We would definitely stay again, it’s going on the list of campgrounds in our back pocket. Water isn’t great tasting but we used it for dishes and other needs besides drinking.
