This is an SKP/Escapee member-only park. As such, you pay a great low rate for an excellent campsite and a well-maintained campground. For Escapees members. Mostly permanent residents. Guest sites are more than ample for any size rig and include full hook-ups. Beautiful views. Huge clubhouse. Staff is super helpful and welcoming.

Had a great stay at the Sierra Park. Cable tv and park wide Wi-Fi both worked great. Not your normal park. Sites were spread out throughout the hills

What set it apart, more than anything else, was the community. You must be an Escapees member to stay in this campground. And there are many people who have bought into the campground and live here full time. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. We got to know a few of our neighbors. The full time residents take a lot of pride in the campground.
The clubhouse is lovely. You can take advantage of pool tables, gym equipment, and group activities. It also has laundry for an incredibly reasonable rate.
We enjoyed the walking trail - we think it’s about a mile - and saw lots of quails and bunnies.
Our site was a very good size. It was in a terraced part of the park so we had tons of privacy.
There is a gas station and mini mart just 5 minutes away. For groceries, we drove into oakhurst about 20 minutes away. Fresno is about 30 minutes. And you can get to the Mariposa entrance of Yosemite in about an hour.
The park has Wi-Fi but we didn’t use it much. Verizon speeds are excellent throughout the park. The south end of the park - near the entrance - has 5G and over 100 mbps down. AT&T was good too.
Only downside is they are pretty strict about checkin times. The office closes early - around noon on sundays. And they will not let you go to your spot after dark. This is for safety - the campground is quite hilly. They do have a couple dry camping areas where you can stay if you arrive after dark.
Verizon: 50mbps+ down
AT&T: 20mbps down

This is not the kind of place we're naturally drawn to but we'd been boondocking for a while and needed to find a place to dump tanks, do laundry and fill up on water. We're new Escapees members so we decided to check it out. I originally reserved two nights, and they blocked out a week for the site. Good thing they did as it turns out we enjoyed our stay here so much we extended a couple of days!
Site 204 wasn't very private but there's much more space between sites than a typical RV park. The overall park is large, hilly and covered with Manzanita and Oak trees. There's a nice (hilly) trail circumventing the park that we hiked most days.
The staff and residents of the park made this stay extra enjoyable - our rig stands out in a place like this so we ended up meeting a lot of great people as they were out walking or driving by. Not a single bad interaction.
One passerby mentioned our site had "good karma" and was perfect for our adventure RV as the previous owners/residents (now deceased) of the site were adventure travelers, who, at one time, lived on a sailboat and sailed the Pacific. I felt the good vibes...

SKP Park of the Sierras is a beautiful Escapees park. We stayed here as a launching point for Bass Lake and Yosemite National Park; the location is great.
This is a co-op park meaning all residence contribute their time in the upkeep and overall well-being of the park. Pride in this park really shows in everyone we met here.
Pat is the tour guide of the park and gave us a wonderful tour around the property in her golf cart. She is a wealth of knowledge around the history of the park and that of the founding residents. Ask for a tour with Pat, she’s awesome.
Upon arrival a very nice man, David Burkhardt, drove me through the route we’d be taking to our site prior to us towing the fifth wheel through the park. It was nice to get a lay of the land, so to speak, rather than going in blind. We then followed David to the site with our rig. Some of the turns were tight for our 38 footer but we managed without so much as touching a branch or curb thanks to David’s guidance.
We later found out the lady checking us in at the office was David’s wife. Very nice couple and we can’t wait to see them again on our next visit. In fact, all of the residence we met were super nice and even invited us to all the social events. Although work kept us pretty busy it was nice to be invited.
Overall the park is very nice. Secluded sites with full hookups including free WiFi and free cable TV. There were several WiFi Hotspots throughout the park and were lucky enough to have one just across from our site, #540. We were able to work and stream using the park WiFi, something we’ve never been able to do in an RV park before.
Club house, laundry and dog park are welcoming and clean. Laundry could use some updating but it worked well and our clothes came out clean. However, if you have laundry facilities in your rig you won’t be using them here. The park is very strict about what goes into the septic system; washing machines and dishwashers are prohibited. We thought this was a bit strange but we have neither of those in our rig so it wasn’t a bid deal for us.
Only real draw back we felt was around "resident only" mail service in this park so you must use the Coarsegold post office for general delivery. Even though we saw UPS and FedEx delivering in the park we were told that was for residents only. Not sure how they could keep you from receiving those deliveries to your site but that’s what we were told.
As far as cost, we used the “$50 off first week” coupon we received when joining Xscapers bringing our weekly total to $62 plus $25 for the electric we used. Even without the coupon @ ~$140 for a week is still a very good rate for Escapees/Xscapers members.
Dry camping is also an option if passing through. First night is free then $5 per night after that with a 7 day limit. They even have water and a dump station at the dry camping area inside the park.
Our cell coverage was good in this park as well. Verizon was the strongest but AT&T and T-Mobile worked fine too.
We truly enjoyed our time at the Park of the Sierras and will definitely stay again when in the area.

We were guided to our spot and given assistance (thank you Chris) backing in. I can't say enough about how welcoming we were received. During our walks within the park we saw plenty of wildlife. Everyday we were visited by a number of quail and also saw deer a few times.
We used this as a base camp to explore the surrounding area as well as day trips into Yosemite, Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks.
PRO-TIP - They have ice cream bars in the club house for $1.00 :)

Upon arrival, a manger drove us to our site in a golf cart. He explained all the turns and how best to line up. We then went back and picked up the trailer and followed him to our site. Even with hills and turns, we had no issues.
This park is full hookup, has a nice laundry room ($1.00 per load) and nice clubhouse. They offer propane twice a week. Unfortunately we missed the day but they said it wasn't a problem. Manager picked me up and drove me to the parks propane station. An hour later, they delivered our propane bottle.
Can not say enough good things about the staff and residents at this park. They go out of their way to make you feel welcome.
