Campground is nice, loop B is tight to get into (with our 30ft travel trailer) and not leveled at all, loop A is à parking lot. Shower are a bit old, just curtain on door, but hot with good pressure. We liked the loop B but walnut tree were everywhere and our windshield now need to be replaced...

The Good: Large county park, heavily wooded with many recreational amenities: fishing pond, hike/bike trails, and of course, a campground. The "C" Loop campsites ring an open meadow and the sites back-in against a wooded area, with pavilion and bathhouse in the center. Our "B" Loop is somewhat downhill from the meadow and hidden in a grove of mostly hickory trees that provide nice dappled shade throughout the day. There was abundant deadwood falls there, enough to provide for a nice cooking campfire one night. (Gathering firewood, rather than being prohibited, as it often is, was encouraged here.) We used the showers and found them to be clean and roomy with a sitting area with no water on the floor. The plumbing all seemed to be in working order.
The Bad & The Ugly: Turning into "B" Loop the gravel road quickly deteriorates into a rutted washed out trail. The loop roads are indistinct and the sites poorly marked. There were no other campers in the loop when we arrived, so we were able to make our site (B-11) into a pull-through site, although I'm not sure it was meant to be so. The site was lumpy, rutted, eroded, and very off-level in both directions. Adjoining sites share a water connection, so depending upon how you enter the site, either the water or electric is going to be on the wrong side of your unit. At the dump station the red flush water tap was not working, but there was a blue, presumably, "fresh water" tap about 2 feet away, which I used to flush my blackwater tank. (Does the county health department know about this?)

Nice campground. Gets busy on weekends but almost all alone Mon-Fri. Hiking trails are fantastic. Recommend the Heritage Trail. Spots a tight but OK since no one there during the week.

We arrived at 1:30, check in is at 2:00, so we had to wait because office staff was at lunch. Check in was quick and easy. Used the dump station by the shower room between RV areas B & C. Dump station convenient but neither water spigots at the dump worked. Area C is definitely convenient for larger rigs but it is an open field with no shade and very little room between sites. Our reservation was for the shaded area so we headed down the gravel road towards B. On the curve just before entering area B we noted that the gravel road has some serious washouts on the driver's side. There were bright orange hazard cones placed on the grass adjacent to the washouts but not in the washouts. The main part of area B is a large circle with backups and pull throughs nestled in the trees. All sites have electric but water is shared. Parking pads are gravel, some reasonably level, but most not, and some require more than two sets of leveling blocks. Our site B-13 was extremely unlevel and by the time we mostly leveled out, the trailer's tongue was over 3 feet in the air and worried the jack was being over extended. I went back to the office and they readily agreed to let me switch sites. We moved over to B15 where we had no problem with leveling front to back without having an altitude nosebleed, but ran out of leveling blocks because this site needed 4 courses and we only had enough for 3. So we slept listing to the port side... LoL
Our initial site had a picnic table but B15 did not. I noticed that the back in site across the path had two. I went to check it out and it was way too heavy to drag 50ft. Also to note that if you have any difficulties with walking B area is not for you. Every site is riddled with tree roots above ground making a lot of trip hazards.
While we didn't use the showers, we did look. They were very clean and in good working order.

The park itself is nice and has a lot of family-friendly amenities. But the spots are close together as many other reviewers said (although there weren’t many other rigs there since it’s the off season so we didn’t have too much trouble) The main bath house we used near site C40 was gross. We didn’t try the other bath house.

Friendly staff combined with trails to walk and quiet at night gets this place a second star but beyond that I see no redeeming qualities. We stayed in the open lot, section C. Sites are packed in side by side on narrow gravel drives that slope to the back and provide no room to sit out and no privacy. The B lot is under trees but I've honestly never seen anything like it. It's like someone picked out a stand of trees, ran some power and water and poured gravel over the entire thing. Sites are all over the place, sloping in all directions. It's hard to see where the sites are and where you can drive. It's truly bizarre.

A little weird checking in because the parking lot was roped off but we just pulled over. C Lot is the best for longer rigs and big rigs will want to be on the straight sides, avoiding the corners. Our TT is 28’ HTB but the space we thought was just for us was actually two campsites. C32& 33 are both in the the corner and would best be utilized by shorter rigs so 32 & 33 don’t block each other. Easy to level. Water & Electric with dump onsite, free to registered campers. All the sites are marked reserved and the campground’s sign says full but it was barely half full. Water pressure at site not great but fine in bathhouse, although bathhouse isn’t the cleanest and lots of bugs. Campsites mostly clean but smaller trash items overlooked. Would still stay here again. Convenient to Greensboro, super friendly staff, and generally pleasant.

Campground is fine, some shaded and wooded sites and others more out in the open with good level sites. Did not use the bathhouse. We have family in the area and it is very convenient for us. Staff is very friendly. If website says no availability be sure to call, there were many unoccupied sites.

Pros:
• Most of the B sites are in a nice wooded setting.
• There’s plenty of trails to walk during the day.
• Very quiet even though the sites are pretty close together.
• There’s a Food Lion and Gas Station 10 minutes away if you forget anything.
• Clean bathhouses with hot water.
Cons:
• Our site (B20) was reaaally uneven but we made it work for 2 tents!
• If you tent camp in the B lot, the bathhouse is a bit of a walk.
• You have to bring your own firewood or buy it ($5 a bundle) - gathering firewood from the woods is not allowed.
• Water is shared between sites.

Great little park. They was able to fit me in for just a single night by calling. Site has electric and water no sewer but does have a dump station. Only 2 bad things are small sites and you share water so bring a Y adapter. Nice trails to go for short walks. Also don't forget the fire ring
