This is kind of weird: The park is only about 1 mile away from the exit you have to take on I25, but you have to go all the way north into town and then take another road back down past the interstate in order to get to the park. That's 5.5 miles each way for a 11-mile roundtrip off of the interstate.
The interstate is only 350 feet away, so yes, it's loud. No sense pretending otherwise. Bring earplugs if that bothers you.
Spend some money in town to say thanks.

Stayed one night in mid-September. Yes, it seems a little weird driving to it, but it was absolutely fine. No bugs. For a free site, it was a perfect location, some road noise, felt safe. Only two other campers. Cell service fair. Very nice town—bought gas to give back a little. Thanks Glenrock!

Very difficult to find, after going under over pass make right where signs says south rec. Crazy amount of mosquitos and as I pulled in to my site there was a decapitated snake freshly killed at my campsite. Highway noise is significant especially Jake brake from trucks. Might do an overnight again but no more than that.

Great little place if you can put up with the bugs (mosquitos, box elder bugs, miller moths). About 20 miles from Casper this was a nice little freebie. Nice flat concrete pad that our 34' fifth wheel fit on easily. The ride in was a little bumpy as they are working on the road off the main drag and we needed a pilot car on our way in. Really the only issue is the bugs. We were inundated with mosquitos and box elder bugs when we first arrived. Then, even in our 5th wheel, we were killing probably 20 miller moths each night before bed. Not sure how many we will take with us when we leave. Perhaps coming in a different season or different type of year would be better. With 3 bars of Verizon we were able to stream TV. It is also near the highway but that did not bother us.

I was the only one there for the first 2 nights which felt slightly sketchy with cars occasionally driving down and doing whatever.
The reasons I probably wouldn’t go back, or maybe for just a one nighter was because of BUGS ( and lots of them) and noise. There is highway noise but the bigger issue was the city maintenance vehicles and heavy equipment were a constant during the day. Peaceful setting but little peace to be found. Also major road work coming in.

Water spigots were off when we were there but they were working on de-winterizing them. It is just off of I-25 so you can hear traffic but it wasn’t bothersome. One thing to watch for is the GPS directions. Our Garmin RV-890 took us to an old road that was closed off. Just keep driving straight and go under the Interstate overpass and take a right at the “South Complex” sign. The park was clean and fairly recently mowing. Hats off to Glenrock, WY for providing such a nice boondocking site. There are places on the road you may encounter horses or cows, drive carefully.

Right next to the interstate —but a dozen miles from the exit. Minus 1 star for highway noise and bugs (which we didn’t experience ourselves, being there at midday, but I fully expect they come out in the pm due to the lazy creek).

So, have to say it looked a bit sketchy getting down to the end of Mormon Canyon Road, rolling over a cattle guard and turning right into what looks like a big field (even two cows grazing right along side the road/trail). Husband was not so sure about it since we were in a large motorhome, but I assured him that others on Campendium had made it successfully. We arrived with just enough daylight left to navigate into the park and find a spot to park the rig. It was actually a very nice place for an overnight stay, and with the cool evening (no bugs), we were able to not run the generator and stay very cool all night long. Only 2 other campers that we saw. There are water spigots and bathroom facilities (no showers). The highway noise (for me) was no big deal and only occasionally heard a big rig using their engine brake. Saw a mule deer doe with two fawns on the way in and a herd (?) of turkeys on the way out.

Easy to get to for just about any size rig, water spigots scattered throughout park but no signs weather or not it is potable. There is large grass areas and even a small creek for you or your pets to play in! As well as a small kids park area. Very nice area, level cement pads for your camper with room for tow vehicles! About 9 camping spots but not crowded - when we stayed here we only saw 2 other campers. Only open during the spring/Summer months and you can only stay 5 days at a time. Dogs allowed - we keep our dogs leashed but some locals come with there dogs that are not leashed so you have to be careful of that. Wildlife viewing in the area is also great! We got to see turkey, deer, antelope and some free range horses. Police/Sheriff often come drive through the park about 3-5 times a day so it is nice and gives a sense of safety! These is also several large trash cans for your trash!
The only downsides to this location is that there seems to be a mosquito and horse fly problem! Bring your bug spray and mosquito nets! Also you can hear the traffic from the interstate but its not too bad.
