Overall Rating

Small quiet camping area. Can hold a few larger rigs but most sites are better for small rigs or tents. The spots for larger rigs also have good sun exposure for solar. Lake has swimming and kayaking/canoe access. Cell service is minimal but there is some exposure for Starlink. This campground is currently FREE due to no water availabi... more

Wanted to visit nearby Sleeping Bear but didn't have reservations and 34ft travel trailer was questionable for fitting in FCFS campground. Fees here are $15 a night plus $9 a day. People swimming at boat launch. Sites vary in size. Only downside was the full dumpster smelled really bad and was close to our site. We arrived on Sunday af... more

Garey Lake Campground and Garey Lake Trail Camp are next to each other on the road- Now we stayed at the (Horse) Trail Camp but... Garey Lake Campground was very nice, maintained well- Not crowded at all.
