We stayed in nearby Garey Lake State Forest Campground but inspected this one while there. The fee is $6 per person / night but right now it is free due to a water issue. The grass is not being maintained but other than that it is huge with sites that can accommodate any size rig. Do not need horses to stay here.

This Trail Camp is down the road from Garey Lake Campground ( Also a nice place to camp). This, assume was an old orchard converted to a horse camp. Many unnumbered sites and not a soul was here. A couple bucks cheaper then Garey Lake Campground - No horses- your still welcome to camp- a pair of Vault toilet- very clean - didnt see pump water- It was super quiet and private. Again not a soul, just us. we picked a spot in the back where there were tall pines and someone built a fire ring. a big plus was our dog was free to run till his hearts content that night. More open, some shade- Will fit large rigs but road in is gravel/dirt. Check out Garey Lake Campground AND the TRAIL camp and see what best fits you. Compared to side by side camping to some of the near by state parks... we would take this place any day if you know how to boondock. (No body was here- but I would assume maybe horse clubs use/rent this place? So I can't predict who will be camping here in the future as far as usage)
Dennis and Tracy would stay here again
