Steep road coming up but plenty of different spots to park that are fairly level. Very close to National Park. Would recommend for a 1 or 2 night stay. Be sure to get there early enough in the afternoon to grab a spot as it is quite a popular destination.

We were at: 32.206763,-104.337250. Absolutely beautiful. Just 15 minutes from here to the Caverns - close to the highway - there are a few spots just off of Hwy 62 - we parked about 3/4 mile up the steep, rocky road, and didn't hear highway traffic at all. It was windy up there, but lovely. We took a long walk up the road from our spot and found a neighbor (car camper) and then another awesome spot that we will try for next time: 32.205886,-104.349736 a huge site with AWESOME views over Goat Corral Canyon. On our walk we stayed on the road, because it was close to sunset, but I think hikers will find great scrambling down to and in Fence Canyon (on the right side of the road) and Goat Corral Canyon (next canyon to the northwest). Next time we're here we will stay a few days.
