Was disappointed in the spot. They put us in what's basically a parking spot on the main road. There are other rigs back in the park with spots that are more shaded with trees and spaced out, but those seemed to be for long term campers.
Laundry room was very nice. Super clean and inexpensive ($1.50 wash & $1.00 dry)
Minutes from the caverns
ATT LTE was full bars and fast
The only gas for a while is next door. A little more expensive than most other towns, but again, it's your only option.

White’s has all these features and a very basic but adequate shower. It’s on the turn-off to Carlsbad Caverns (7miles up the road). Saw bat flight at caverns in evening, then toured the caverns the next morning. Check out is at noon so we could leave the camper at site. We were in a gravel parking lot right off the road but it was very quiet at night. Not a place to hang out, but fit our needs perfectly.

Stayed here to in order to dump tanks and replenish fresh water from boondocking.
Back in sites, had to disconnect trailer (not a big deal). Someone had dumped black tank on our site and no clean up had been done. Yes, it was dry but at the very least paper residue should have been cleaned up and site raked and washed down.
Convenient to Carlsbad Cavern. Very clean and new laundry machines. Store prices very high.

We stayed at a tent site with our RV since the hook ups were full and paid $21 dollars with the Good Sam discount. It’s $42 for full hook up. The bathrooms could’ve been nice, nice tile floors and walls, but they were soo dirty. The showers are locker room style showers with no curtains and face out to the rest of the bathroom. Definitely not worth the money.

We arrived at this location around 6PM, the gift shop is their RV park office. After they close at 7-8pm, you have to check in at the hotel across the street.
We travel in a converted cargo van. We do not have all the amenities a travel trailer has so we typically get an RV Site/campsite once every two weeks or so to refill our waters, hookup to power to top of our batteries, to dump trash, & do laundry all at once. Otherwise we are boondockers.
What we liked:
• Easy check-in
• Had daily sites available (Currently under a Gov. Shutdown so the Caverns aren't busy)
• Water
• 15-30-50 amps hookups.
• They let us park two vans on 1 site at no additional cost (with the condition only 1 van was hooked up, which make sense)
• They gave us a late checkout without problem.
• Really nice laundromat
• Convenient gift store with some grocery items.
• Sites were leveled.
• Road noise was not terrible despite daily sites being right on the road.
What we didn't like:
• The showers!!! We had two options: the shower room closest to the daily sites was frozen and/or not working. It was just a small room with a toilet and a shower, just one hook to hang your stuff otherwise it was on the bathroom/shower floor. It was cold out, but assumed that shower house would be heated but it wasn't. I only figured the water wasn't working when I got undressed and froze in the room trying to work out the shower.
They do have another shower facility further back in the park and they worked! Unfortunately, like another reviewer mentioned, they are awful. The 2 showers stalls have no privacy at all. I had to shower with my bare back exposed to other campers that were using the restroom. The shower drain is huge but not secured so it kept moving out of place while trying to shower. I could see an accident waiting to happen with someone slipping and getting their foot stuck in there (or children!).
The toilet stalls had shower curtains. Which they should spare a few more dollars to install 2 curtains on the showers as well. Because of the temps outside and the moisture in the bathroom, there was water from floor to ceiling and all the counters were wet and very slippery.
• Daily site is just a gravel parking lot on the road and a bit close together. Those sites are not part of the pictures above.
• The RV park itself is outdated and have long term tenants which really messy surroundings. Oil cans, trash and rubbish items scattered around the sites. Looks like the park owners don't mind if the campers clean up after themselves…
If it wasn't for the horrible bathrooms/shower I would had given this place a better rating.
If you have everything in your rig and only spending a few days and are willing to pay $40-$45/night to park in a lot with hookups, this place will definitely be convenient and good for you.
If you're like us and tend to visit RV park for their amenities, there are better ones elsewhere.

On the positive side, we arrived at 3:30, unhooked and were able to spend the rest of the afternoon at the caverns.
No wifi, although online listing indicated they had it. Verizon signal was good enough to get by.

Looking online we found this is the closest to Carlsbad Caverns - and it was. The turn-in to the RV park is on the road to the caverns so it was really convenient to go there. Anyone coming to see Carlsbad Caverns - try to stay here for sure.
The spots were a bit tight and each of them shares the table and covering with the site next to it. Not a big deal because we had a really nice neighbor.
The whole park was pretty full at the time we were passing through because of pipelines being built in the area are keeping many parks full.
About 30 minutes drive from Carlsbad (grocery and affordable fuel) and only 30 minutes from Guadalupe Mountains National Park.
The park is worn out and not so much fun for the kids, but they had a good time.

After boondocking for a week under very windy conditions, having full hookups was a nice break. We only meant to stay a night or two to visit the caverns but wind and soreness made us wait another night.
We paid for 50 amp hookups which put us in the upper loop (I think). The bath house was open air with shower curtains in front of the women's toilets and the showers open with no privacy at all. They were clean, though, with the trash collected frequently. RV spots were in very close proximity but there were plenty of empty tent spaces with grass and the like for the pups to poke around in.
They offered a lot of coverage over their picnic tables, which was very nice. There were also trash carts spaced well so I never had to carry dog poop for very long.

We stayed here two nights while visiting the Cavern in late June. You have to check in at the Gift shop or after 8pm, at the hotel. There are signs telling you where to check in but they are small and hard to see. There are two areas to the park, a 30amp and 50amp section. The 30amp is very tight and I was warned that with slide outs I might not fit. I asked if I could have a spot in the 50amp and was given one. They will loan you a 50amp dog bone with a $30 cash deposit. All sites except the end sites share a common area, two picnic tables under one cover between the spaces. We did have a neighbor but never saw them. This park is full of mostly full timers and their rigs are not in the best of shape.
Across from the RV park there is a hotel with a small water park. It costs $5 per person if you are a guest at the RV park. For the money it was well worth it. We really enjoyed the water slides and the pool.
The main reason for staying here was the proximity to the Caverns. It is literally right at the entrance to the park. The road leading up to the caverns has some great views! We did go into Carlsbad for food and a drive in movie as well, it was about a 30 minute drive into town.

If your goal is to camp as close to the caverns as possible and amenities aren't a major necessity then this is the place to be. It's the ONLY campsite at the entrance to the national park. We camped on the lower loop and the bathrooms left a lot to be desired. There was only one room that contained your shower, toilet, and sink with bugs and big black beetles that crawled in from under the crack in the door. I think that most people in the low camping section live there full time so the bathroom, thankfully, was never occupied. Not sure when their cleaning crew comes in (if ever) but I was getting nervous about the toilet paper running out. I was told the upper loop sites' bathrooms were in much better shape. There is full hook ups at the RV sites and a laundry room with machines that worked really well. The wifi was decent. One thing I did like about the campsites was that there is a full shelter over the picnic tables. We used the recycling bins at the entrance of the National Park to unload our plastics, aluminum, and glass. The trash at the campsite was overflowing and wasn't changed the two days we were there. On the corner is a credit-only gas station, small grocery, souvenir shop, hotel, and restaurant - if you need anything more than that (like alcohol or something other than junk food) you will have to drive 30 minutes in to the town of Carlsbad.
