Very difficult to get to. Do not follow google maps it got us going down strange back roads and closed roads. The description does say this but the directions they give weren’t especially helpful either. We eventually found it. Our stay was April 29 so it was before peak season and to be fair that may explain why the grounds were not as tidy as I would expect for a KOA. Some very junky RVs around the perimeter of the site which I know they can not control but maybe it is time to plant some trees or put up some privacy fencing. Also it looked like the place needs some updating. Gravel pads that are in serious need of more gravel and a bit of leveling. The office sign said it was open but it was not. Overall seemed neglected. I think it has a lot of potential but would need some work and improvements before I would recommend staying there.

I would stay here again although it is a bit pricey.

In the mornings the staff makes pancakes so we took advantage of that before heading out to Craters of the Moon.
Not sure about internet, we used our Starlink.

To get out I had to navigate some numb skull who was sitting in his driver's seat of his car, parked on the interior road and at the end of a row with a tight turn. Staff is friendly. Arco is not really much of a mega-vacation destination with a podunk town and the only worthwhile activity anywhere close is the Craters of the Moon Nat'l Monument. As full time RVers, when we don't have grandkids with us, this stop would normally be a no-go due to the high cost.

I actually liked the KOA in Arco. There was a free ice cream social at 6pm, held as a fund raiser for a local group. The sites were good for a KOA. I'd been to some that were extremely close. The sites were good for a KOA. I'd been to some that were extremely close. The pool was nice, it was quiet, no complaints about the staff, nice little camp store and my site looked out to a field with horses. The shower house was original, but clean. My favorite thing was the large covered area behind the office, it had seating all around and was nice to sit and visit or relax. The grocery store in Arco was a surprise. It didn't look like much on the outside, but the inside was clean and well lit and had items there you'd expect to find at a higher end store. Easy access to Craters of the Moon.

There were many vacant lots -the same size and pull through but they felt we needed to all be crammed together. I will say the staff was nice/friendly. It is close to Craters of the Moon NP and the options are very slim. In the area it may be the best bet but they need to be honest and it is not worth $51. If you’ve stayed at other KOA’s before this will be nothing like those previous parks.

Our site was dirt and gravel mixed with no shade. We were well within our space but the people behind us had one of their many side by sides inches from our slide out. Absolutely no wifi. I wouldn’t stay again.

The CG was experiencing some electrical service outages at some of the sites, which also impacted the pool and septic system, but they ran a generator when needed to alleviate the septic issues. We were in site D4 for 1 day in early August. The campground is showing some signs of age, but is ok for a short visit to the area. They do offer free waffles and coffee in the mornings and an ice cream social in the evenings. AT&T coverage decent, ranging from 3-4 Bars of LTE with service up to 16 MB/s. We were able to get DISH coverage on all three western satellites at our site. There were no OTA channels to be had with our fixed omni antenna.

The campground itself is a pretty typical KOA. Basically a big flat lot with the sites all pretty close together. There is an area that was more shaded with trees, but I was in the more open area where I only had water and electric hookups. The dump station is on your way out and was easy enough to access. It had rinse water and I was able to unhook the hose they had on it and use my own hose for the sani flush.
This KOA does feel like it's a little more remote than others and therefor it's much quieter than some of the other KOAs I've been to. Also the office has a nice little general store where you can pick up beer and a few other things which was handy.
