The campground attendants we helpful and pleasant. We purchased our senior pass and they credited our card since we had paid full price. LOVE IT. We now look for COE campgrounds. Oh, we had full hookup and didn't even know it! :).

Our favorite loop is the Old Mill Rd. It is quiet with good space between sites. The other two loops are great for families with kids as they have beaches a d playgrounds.
Some of the sites in the Old Mill Loop are quite steep. Read descriptions carefully.

My 40 foot fifth wheel would take up the level space and my truck would be on the ramp down to the level site. The awesome host showed us other sites available for our time there. We ended up with a pull through on the edge of the lake (site 52) and it was great. Full hookup, picnic table, fire ring, gravel site, charcoal grill and another high small table we put our grill on. Our WeBoost made Verizon and AT&T all bars so we could watch internet TV because there is no cable. There is laundry rooms, small but available.

All the RV sites are apparently full hook-up and that is wonderful! Our site, 94, is more like a buddy site than anything. Due to extenuating circumstances and a lot of back country roads, we arrived after dark and it was quite the feat to back the MH downhill RIGHT BESIDE a huge 5th wheel that was basically in the front yard of the site and that shares the driveway. I feel blessed that my husband drove a truck for 32 years and drives backwards very well! We would rather have been in #72. However, we are closest to the lake, have a wonderful view, and this is the last of the RV sites on the line. To our back side (driver side) there are only tent camping spots and those cleared out on Sunday and there's been no one there during the week. There is no firewood, ice, or groceries for sale here and the nearest store that sells much is the Dollar General about 5 minutes south towards Ft. Gaines. The bath house on the Pine Loop is rather old and dingy but was clean. We didn't use it. There are supposed to be gators here but we never saw one, we did have deer walking up the road in front of the campsite. Providence Canyon was an easy day trip, about an hour away. The man who checked us in was very helpful and friendly.

The pros… beautiful mostly waterfront sites. A fair amount of space between, some better than others. A super clean and peaceful campground with laundry. We loved our site, 73, and our row. Although we walked the whole campground, and maybe other areas are a bit more spread out, we thought our row was the best location.
The cons… our row gets pretty windy if there is wind, which did, at times, affect sitting outside and having a fire. Some driveways have a steep decline, although the spots look level. We thought if we ended up with some, we might have bottomed out. Also some sites are buddy sites with back to back hookups.
Pro/con depending… the campground is about 25-30 minutes from anywhere. So if you need groceries, or wanna go do something other than just enjoy the lake, fish and chill, it’s a haul.
Overall, we loved it and would definitely stay again.

Our spot, 55, next to playground & group shelter. Both were unused during our stay. Could be noisy during peak months. Sites on either side of us would better and have unobstructed view of water, About 1/2 hr to Eufaula walmart for essential shopping. About 40 mins to Providence canyon for day trip.

Make sure to get your groceries before you get there. It’s 20 minutes away from a truly decent grocery store in Eufaula. Getting into our site was easy. 23 is a pull-through site. Other sites we saw backed steeply before leveling out, and I think we would have bottomed out with our 30’ Airstream. There is a dog park, laundry and clean bath houses. The entire park is well maintained. Plenty of wildlife and the lake views are absolutely beautiful. In addition to FHU, our site had a fish cleaning table, picnic table, fire pit, grill and lantern hook. We will definitely be back.

Most sites right on the water. Large sites and good separation. Level concrete parking pad but steep driveway.
The road into the park is between mile markers 15 and 16.

This campground offers over 100 sites and all of the RV sites at this campground are full hookup! A Corps of Engineers campground with full hookups, what a deal! Site 10 was awesome, with plenty of privacy between us and the neighbors and a beautiful view of the lake. There are some BIG alligators out there, so be cautious and aware when you are down by the water. We would absolutely stay here again! It was a horrible experience. The campground host that drives the white tracker was a jerk. He sat and watched my daughter and her kids at the beach for the longest time. He is Creep. They need to let him go. He is a wanna be camp ground host. Will not be back and we have been camping there for almost 30 years.
