LOVE this COE campground. Very spacious sites with plenty of room btw other sites. Cement sites equipped with grill, table and fire pit. The only downside is for some reason they put the dumpsters out by the entrance instead of in close proximity to the sites. But on the other hand makes for a good walk.

We stayed two nights in late October and it was very enjoyable. The campground is clean and well-maintained. We were forewarned about ants and took precautions to avoid attracting them. Many campers are sprinkling some type of dust around their tires, I assume to control the ants. We will return to this COE campground.

Another fine COE campground and really spectacular if you are lucky enough to snag a site on PCOVE (Pirates Cove) Loop. PCOVE loop is a tiny peninsula jutting into the bay with eight prime sites (#38-46) at the waters edge. Good privacy and spacing. Other loops are also nice, and many are lakeside, but a bit further back from the water. Good, clean bathhouses and campground is clean all around. There is also a pavilion and boat launch right in the campground. Right next door is Hardridge Creek Day Use area, fairly large and pretty. Lots of fishing and trails all around. Historic Eufaula is about 20miles north. I recommend Hardridge Creek overall and highly recommend PCOVE loop. I also do remote work and was happy to find 3bars for both Verizon and ATT. This will be my go-to campground whenever I’m in the area.

We stayed at sight six for 11 days. (Extended past the first 7) it’s got an open view of the “bay side” of the lake and it’s directly across from the day access area which is a nice walk and accessible by foot. It’s absolutely beautiful. I’d take more time with visiting Historic Eufaula more as there’s the ‘old cemetery” the oldest in town rich with history, is absolutely beautiful and completely drive through. There’s also a 3.2 mile paved trail named after the Indian Chief of Eufaula-more on that-do your research, super cool!
The waterfront site is also across the way from laundry and restrooms so that was a bonus except I personally despise the campground pole lights as they obscure my view of the stars-so thats a takeaway but not judging the ground on that. Clean as could be. No map shows it and unfortunately with one day left, we found a walking trail, 2-could be the same (haven’t done it yet but will!) one that loops around but either way would be nice to know. Higher numbers are up on the hill overlooking the lake, further down is the beach and lakeside sites. Some full hookups-a gorgeous area rich with history, awesome for fishing, boating, hiking, magnificent birding (ospreys are now nesting across the bay by site 6) walking, biking, rollerblading, etc. Gorgeous area. Will return!!!
P.S. aware of the ants-we put down Ajax at one site and since it didn’t get cleaned up we used spray. It got warm and didn’t have any problems. FYI SITE 5 is very close to 4...if you don’t like becoming buddies or hearing kids, etc-avoid 5.

Very well kept, right on the water with plenty of amenities.
The host made it his priority to come by and introduce himself and to offer any assistance that I might need. Good Cel service and easy access.
Nice concrete pads with grill and separate fire pit.

The whole campsite is huge with some closer to the lake. There is a small swimming beach in the lake view loop. There are hiking trails that no one have used in a very long time.

The campground is well maintained and quiet;you only hear the birds and boats. Our site was full hookup and has a limited lake view but very nice. Typical COE layout. Verizon service is excellent. Campground is great for fishing. Checking was easy and roads plenty wide.
