“Stay close to the highway if you have a longer rig”

Ok so we’re a sucker for BLM and all things free. Our trailer is a 27ft airstream and I didn’t opt for the first or second spot we came across. Instead I went for something I saw from satallite that looked promising. However, there are a lot of erosion hills that I did not see, so once we were past the point of being able to turn around, we had to get creative and use our leveling blocks to raise the rear wheels and not completely drag the rear end when passing over these mini mountains. About a mile in, there is a site that we decided worked for two reasons. One, we can turn around here. Two, it’s a bout dark. So after backing in and dropping some blocks to level the ole girl out, we have a home for the night. In the future I will take one of the two first spots, and not venture this far in with our big girl. If you have a high clearance setup or are overlanding come on back in, beautiful spots await. But if your in an RV or longer travel trailer take those first spots!
Access five stars for the first two spots. Anything past that 2...
Location, I’m torn, it’s amazing back here. And if we were just in our tow vehicle with the roof top tent! I am sure In a short drive the vistas would be outstanding!!!
Cleanliness... it’s kinda a desert... so it’s desert clean... there are cows about...
Site quality. Nothing really level... get creative,
Noise... only thing we heard all night, was the occasional plane passing over. Very peaceful this far back on the trail.
Cell service was two bars 3g this far in...
