I would recommend going up the road a couple hundred yards (on the left) and staying at the dispersed campground for free. These old USFS campgrounds are serviceable, but the lack of maintenance (especially paving) annoys me. The camp parking sites have not seen asphalt maintenance since the 1960s. Beautiful area. Well kept by camp host. Road are very narrow, which can make parking your rig a bit challenging. Good fishing nearby.

Getting to Bumblebee campground is an easy 3 mile drive past the Bumblebee bridge put-in on the North Fork of the Coeur d'Alene River north of Kingston, ID on all paved roads. The hosts are great and helpful and the pit toilets in mid-July in 100 degree heat were not smelly and were always clean.
The sites are pretty sunny, although at different times of the day you might have some shade in a few spots. The grass was dry and pokey, but mowed nicely and there is plenty of room and vegetation between sites to give privacy. There are no hook-ups, and no generators during quiet hours (10pm-6am), but luckily it cools off nicely at night. Nice fire pits and many of the sites have plenty of area for tents. Be warned: There are a few sites that are double sites - mostly because the parking spurs are wide enough for two vehicles. These would not (except maybe site 18) be appropriate for 2 RVs side by side, as the spurs are shorter. You will have 2 picnic tables, but not necessarily double the tent space, so chose wisely because the double sites are double the price ($42 per night) but 16 people max.
Be sure to hike back behind site 25 (? second to last on right) to a creek where you will find a shady area with clean running creek water and a short trek through the woods to a pond and a couple of impressive beaver dams. We went in July when the weather just started getting hot and it was still muddy and swampy in spots along the trail - don't know if it's accessible during spring, but it was neat for the kids to look at.
FYI: During the height of floating season (Memorial Day to beginning of August) on the weekends you might have a bunch of drunk floaters partying all night. We went during the week and it was super quiet, but have heard it can get a little rowdy.

Tent camped for one night here on our way back from Glacier National Park, early Aug 2018. The campground was well kept and the hosts were friendly and welcoming. We made reservations through recreation.gov and had no problems with our spot. The site was a bit small for our large tent (we had 9 people) and we did have to pay extra for a second vehicle. The campground had potable water and vault toilets (very clean including air fresheners)
We were told that the area could get rowdy because it is highly frequented and close to the river but we had no issues with noise and enjoyed a good nights sleep. Signage to the campground was challenging but we used Google Maps to navigate and that helped.
