This is a wonderful campground. Beautiful lake Webb has a wide paved path for walking biking etc. the campsites are widely spaced many with a lake view. Highway noise is significant but we wouldn’t hesitate to come back.

Do not follow the directions from your confirmation email from Babcock Webb. It leads you to their office and we became very stuck in the mud and required a tow truck. Be sure you turn south from Tuckers Grade

We camped at the south Webb lake campground out of hunting season and arrived on Saturday morning. There were a decent amount of people there by then and there but we were still able to get a good spot near the lake. There was a little bit of noise from other campers hanging out on Saturday night but it didn’t last long and the rest of the night was quite and I slept well as a light sleeper. The park is nice to walk around and the road goes on for miles with just people fishing, we even saw a bald eagle. You have to make a reservation online before you get there (and print out) and once you’re there you can pay by cash or check at the front for the daily use permit which is only $6 a car or $3 a person per day. Or you can get the yearly permit for $27 online.

This is the fewest people that I’ve ever seen in this campground . There is only six of us that continuously stayed in here and on the weekends it was probably a couple dozen people most people come in on New Year’s night. It’s been a real good spot to stay and it’s free

The ice cream truck just breezed through. Early morning it gets a bit noisy as the hunters gather their hunting dogs and head out in hopes of bagging a big one. We enjoyed biking around the large lake where several fishermen were drifting over the water in their bass boats. The WMA requires a pass which costs $27 a year. This particular site also requires that you sign in on their website and get an official reservation code which needs to be displayed. The sites are grassy, spacious, mostly flat, and mainly dry. It parallels I75 but I can't say the traffic noise kept me awake, and I am a light sleeper. Can't beat free.
