Last minute trip into a 6 hour drive. You must book online. The staff was friendly and the campsite was easy to access. The views are great and even better on an EV bike. The lake was beautiful and plenty of spots for fishing. Would recommend and will definitely return in cooler months.

I'm a bit behind in posting reviews - we stayed here for 3 nights at the end of March, 2024. Our price reflects the senior discount (we love to lower our average costs by utilizing COE campgrounds). Find the campground was the only problem we had - signage poor and our GPS wanted to take us down a deadend. We ended up having to drive around in a loop through the nearby neighborhood to access the campground. Check in was really nice - nice guy with a sweet black Lab (we too, have a black Lab). Our site was a nice long back in - plenty long to stay connected and had water & power. Nice view of the lake. Had a lot of rain so the level of the lake really came up! Bathhouse wasn't the cleanest I've seen, or the nicest, but NICE hot water. Pleasant stay!

We stayed 1 overnight! Electric and water, dumpsite on a little bit of a hill though. Lots of shade! Signage was not very good finding the entrance. We saw an alligator swimming near the shore as we were leaving!

This park was fine for an overnight stay, but it was very crowded in the middle of the week in October (fall break?). Quiet hours were not enforced.

Spacious sites, appropriately distanced from other sites. Quiet, and serene. The lake is beautiful. Unfortunately, we arrived late in the day, so we didn’t really get a chance to really explore the place.

We stayed here when it was a little on the cold side. One morning we woke up to a couple inches of snow on the ground, but, other than that is was a great stay! The bathrooms/showers are clean and water pressure/ temp were excellent, but unfortunately the laundry was locked due to COVID (strange but, true). They were working on new water lines at Black Gum / group camp so we couldn't have camped there even if we wanted to (FF), but, it does look like a great area with some huge pull throughs and beautiful lakefront sites as well. The third campground is primitive with water hookups, and it looks like an amazing place for kids. Since no one was staying there, I walked my dog down to it every day. The Collinsville City Park is also very close and equally amazing for space and shelters, boat ramp, etc. We were in the Loblolly Campground, and it is very nice and typical of the many pine tree/ lake campgrounds in the south. The lake is very low right now, but, there are still people fishing every day. The sites are very spacious and we didn't have any trouble getting our big 5th wheel into the gravel site. We were unable to put out our awning because, of a tree on that side, but, did get all the slide outs extended. There were hardly any other campers (probably due to the weather), and the sites are situated so that you are not side by side with your neighbor (they're staggered). We rode our bikes all over as there are plenty of paved roads. Great COE campground! Also, Meridian has everything you need within 15 minutes. Propane about 3 miles from camp at "Chisolm's" gas/ tire station.

Another lovey COE park. Large wooded sites with plenty of privacy. Quiet even on the weekend. No bathrooms in loop but vault toilets were clean. Not much going on aside from the lake but I can see it’s draw in the summertime. Some garbage around site but otherwise fairly clean.

This is a great park for anyone who enjoys getting out on the water, but not swimming since there are signs about alligators in the lake. I was able to work easily with our AT&T service. I had download speeds of 87 and upload of 17 mbps. There were no trash containers in the campsite area which required a drive to the parks dumpsters to get rid of our trash. The toilets were pit toilets in the campsite area. They were clean. We would definitely stay here again.

Most of the campground is big rig friendly, there are a few spots with tight spaces due to trees. Each site has a picnic table, fire pit and lantern hanger. Most have water and electricity. Lots of space for our dogs to play. Dump station on site. We didn’t use any other facilities so can’t speak to those. We wished we could’ve stayed longer! The only negative was the fire pits needed to be cleaned, I wish people didn’t leave trash in them.
