Spring Campground was yet another one night stopover for me, but is a nice place for an extended stay due to being on Crescent Lake. It's a great location for water recreation - bring your kayak or SUP. The campground is accessed via a short, paved side road off of OR-58.
The sites are unpaved, but quite large, well-spaced and mostly level. The bathrooms are pit toilets and the camp hosts (lovely, friendly couple!) kept them very clean. Potable water spigots and wash water dump stations are positioned liberally throughout the campground. There are some trees, but not so many that solar collections is difficult. Nights are quiet and starry.
The prolific forest fires in 2021 have resulted in some smokiness, so check the air quality status before you travel. I didn't have a cell signal (Verizon).
A nice stay!

Spring campground is located on beautiful Crescent lake with amazing views of Diamond Peak. The campground is clean, well run and sites are spacious and far apart. I stayed in site 37 and it had forest in the back and good space between sites and a 5-10 minute walk to the beach and lake. Each site has a picnic table and fire pit and fairly level. My site was opposite the vault toilet and water station and both were well maintained and clean and not too busy. The lake allows motorized boats so sites on the lake will definitely hear the sounds of boats and jet skis and will feel busier than the other sites. Sites 50 and above are very private and have access to the end of the lake that not many boats were on and better for quieter swims and kayaking, canoeing and paddle boarding. Be warned that I was here during a heat wave (112F!) and the lake at the center was 55F, fine to swim on the edges but the center is cold and deep!!

We stayed here several years ago - were meeting up with friends. They got there first and grabbed a double site - I think we paid $30 a night for the both of us. It was in September and was cold, but we had the most stunning sunrise ever! Typical sites - firering & picnic table. Can't remember the facilities - no host on site as we were at the end of the season and really, no one around. Our Lab & their Lab loved the beach and water (even though it was chilly...). We loved the view, the beach, the walking, the lake and yep, that sunrise! We would definitely come back here - lakeside camping in Oregon is the best!
