Has full hookups; water, sewer, electrical, and there is a propane fill on site. Washrooms are pretty basic and nothing to get excited about. I think $65 is a little much in general, but it offers everything you need.

A guy escorted us to our spot and called another guy over to ask a question, both men were very nice. We didn’t have any issues with any of the staff. There are some mobile homes in the park which usually turn me off from campgrounds, but they were off to the side and not very noticeable. The laundry room is nice and the machines take cards which was great. The bathhouse has 4 individual bathrooms with sink, toilet, and shower. They are older and outdated, but clean. Overall, we enjoyed our stay here and would stay again.

We enjoyed our stay at snowy peaks! The hosts were extremely nice and everyone we came into contact with was very kind. The sites are narrow, but the hosts assist you with getting into your site, so we did not have any issues. There is good cell service and the Wi-Fi worked well. We would definitely stay here again.

When we first pulled up to the park I was a little disappointed. It wasn't what I expected. The clubhouse/office was rundown with a front window that looked like it had been broken for years. Most sites are narrow & you have views of the junkyard to the south, the grubby storage area, or trashy mobile homes to the north or your neighbors front door, as many sites face each other. Lots of year round campers. Many are very nice people & have nice campers, but lots have shabby campers. Several longterm residents should be kicked out, but are allowed to stay. We had one person steal packages, break into vehicles, go into people's sites & tents when they weren't there. I personally took many complaints about this person. We had another who liked to yell & threatened a family one night. The police have been in the park on numerous occasions. The wi-fi is spotty at best. People who have stayed at the park multiple times for several years said this is the first-time it hasn't worked. They also said they won't be returning, as they weren't able to get any work done. Just like everything else the manager did nothing (he live out of state & was never there) The laundry room smells like sewer. The washers don't wash your clothes & only one dryer works. We went to the laundromat to wash our clothes. The sewer in the 30's has backed up on several occasions so the park often smells like sewer. We had electrical issues at several posts. Instead of hiring a real electrician to fix it they had the workcampers do it. They do have a loose dog problem. I personally helped breakup a dog fight. My husband & I also took a dog to the local shelter (the campground is on a busy hwy). When we told the manager he told us not to do that again. Turns out he had been watching the dog run around the park for 1 1/2hrs & did nothing about it. This was after the dogfight. The second time we caught a dog running loose & I took it to the shelter. The owners came & thanked me, because there dog was safe. They still have dogs that run loose from the junkyard next door. I know the "manager" or owners(none of which live in the state) will say I'm a disgruntled ex-employee, which I am, but everything I've stated above is factual. I loved my job. I met some wonderful people while working at the park & I truly hope I made there stay better. I will say we are now staying at a much nicer campground just down the road. The new owners of Snowy Peaks should come visit it, to get ideas on how a nice campground runs & looks.

The staff ruined a nice weekend with my parents. If you enjoy crotchety old men coming into your campsite at 9am yelling at you then this is the place for you!
My parents had booked an RV site with a tent. I checked in as the tent. This place has rules & fines for everything and they go over the entire page with you at checkin. I was told specifically by two women in the office at checkin that the rule for nothing on the grass did not apply to my tent and they charged me $20 for it. Put up my tent that evening next to my parents RV and went to sleep. Next morning we are enjoying our breakfast and time together and suddenly this guy in a golf cart shows up ready to fight. He approached us aggressively and immediately started demanding I take my tent off the grass. Of course my reaction escalated quickly bc of how I was approached. I told him that his office staff had told me specifically that my tent was allowed on the grass and I had paid to have it there. I told him I would move my tent but wanted a refund. Nope. No refunds. Get your tent off the grass or I’m kicking you out. When I continued to explain what I had been told by his office staff (who ended up being his wife) he looks at my dad and says “you better shut her up”. The brazen rudeness of this guy was unreal! My dad ended up going to the office with him where the woman in the office admitted her mistake and miscommunication. They told me I was not allowed on the grass and could instead put my tent on their gravel driveway only. I ended up just car camping that night bc I’m not going to sleep on straight up gravel.
His behavior really put a damper on our day. If your version of customer service is to approach your guests in a fighting stiff arm manner you should be sweeping the floors & not interacting with customers. He apologized the next day which I appreciated but it still did not make up for the fact that he walked into our family breakfast and ruined it.
There are many great places to stay in Colorado & this is not one of them. My 8 & 10 year old said to me on the drive back to Denver “we didn’t like that campsite. It felt dirty & gross”. So that is the honest opinion of kids and they are right. The view of the mountains is lovely but the actual campsite, bathrooms, and grounds were not well maintained and the playground is falling apart. The grass however is beautiful, just don’t put anything on it!!!!

Snowy Peaks was a pleasant surprise for us. We honestly didn’t know if we should expect much based on the few pictures we saw but it turned out to be one of our favorite places we stayed at! Their park is directly facing the mountains which makes for a gorgeous view! We had site 40 and though it was supposed to be a back in site we pulled our Class A in the other direction so our front door was facing the mountains and it also practically gave us a front yard which was very nice! The only thing that caused that site to not be potentially the best we’ve ever had was that it was W/E only, which we knew beforehand and chose to save money, and it was right on the highway which was surprisingly busy all throughout the day for such a small town so it was quite noisy from that.
The staff were all incredibly friendly and helpful. The bathrooms/showers, though clearly very old, were kept extremely clean every day. It was the only campground we’ve stayed at in Colorado so far this year that allowed campfires so that was a huge bonus.
We both work full time and were able to work off their internet some. Some days it would work all day just fine, other days we had to switch to our Verizon jet pack so it was just very hit and miss. We did have around 3-4 bars LTE at the campsite the whole time we were there which was also nice considering the lack of service a lot of places we went just outside of the campground.
Overall, this is not the nicest looking RV park you’ll see but it is well maintained, the staff are all great, and the views are to die for! Not to mention Buena Vista is a great little town that’s within an hour of Breckenridge and Vail and also offers great whitewater rafting (we recommend Noah’s ark personally). Definitely somewhere we’d stay again, especially if we could get site 40 again (just a heads up, you do NOT want site 41 unless you don’t plan to spend much time there).

The whitewater park is well worth the visit if only to picnic and watch the rafters and kayakers shoot the rapids on the scenic Arkansas River. If I do stay here again I will choose a site further back from the highway.

Originally planned on just staying in BLM land, but it was a busy night, so ended up here. Relatively quiet at night(only because of road, guests are great), the hosts are super kind and stayed open late to check me in. Individual bathroom/showers were clean and operational. Laundry all worked. Great access to rafting, hiking, anything!

This is pretty nice for an RV park. Typical sites with some grass and a picnic table. We needed to do laundry and the facilities were nice enough. We road our bikes in to town for lunch but didn't have time to checkout other activities due to the pending rain. Overall a nice stay and it looks like it is a pretty well kept park.

Friendliness: Some office staff are more friendly than others.
Sites: Our site was quite small and the sewer was elevated about 9 inches. So, try and consider another site, for that reason, especially if you have an Airstream (lower black tank spout).
Location: Really nice small(ish) town 10 minutes away. Lots of food options. Dog park for large and small dogs. River to kayak. Lots of shops. Gas is within 5 minutes of the park entrance.
Wifi: General internet searching and light work. We had trouble working with our needs and on vpn sometimes. We always rely on our hotspots anyway.
Laundry: Really old facilities so the washer did an okay job. The dryers needed some extra time for towels.
Propane: Yes

The owner does an awesome job making sure the park is well maintained and upgrades done each year.

Our dog had emergency abdominal surgery on a Sunday- we were supposed to check in on Wednesday. Obviously, our dog is now unable to travel. We called Snowy Peaks on Monday advising of our circumstance. (They have a 7 day cancellation policy) Even under these difficult and emotional circumstances and in spite of us giving them 3 day notice - they still charged us $51.00 for one day. Nice folks. We are FT RVers and schedule out months in advance. We have never run across an RV park that did not at least show some compassion for circumstances out of a traveler's control.
