This campground gets great reviews, and I think a lot of that has to do with the nice and easy accommodations for tent campers and cyclist campers in particular. That said, we hated our experience here. We camp A LOT (albeit in the USA), and our experience here was just not what we were hoping for at all. Our site was not at all private, quite unlevel, tight to maneuver with neighbors present (we have a small 20' teardrop trailer), confusing to navigate even with a map, and the facilities were far and pretty gross even though there were flushing toilets, showers, and sinks. Our other Canadian campground experiences on our 2+ week roadtrip were far superior and enjoyable, so I don't think this was just a cultural expectations issue. To each their own, but we wanted to leave and started hunting for hotels unsuccessfully as soon as we got there and were eager to leave.

We ran the Juniper trail from the campground, got to the road, went through the underpass to the hot springs, then went through the hot springs building area to get to the redstreak trail back to the campground. A great loop with some significant elevation change.
Other than that, it's what you would expect at a national park.

A national park pass is required to camp here. The steep road to the campground gate is wide and paved. There are a variety of loops and options here, back in, pull through, pull out, dry, partial and full hookups. The campground roads are also paved with some pot holes, but the sites are dirt and not always level, tall rigs watch for low hanging branches. Picnic tables, fire pits, unlimited wood supply with a paid fire permit unless there is a fire ban. Overall the park is tired, but we really enjoyed it here!
The dump station has 3 lanes with potable water. There are trails for hiking/mountain biking to viewpoints and of course the hot springs.

This campground is on the side of a hill, with lovely trees and views, and ple to of bighorn sheep.
The site itself was very large and set among the trees. FHU sites at national parks are hard to come by, but it was nice to enjoy the ammenties without sacrificing a national park experience.

We had a full hookup site that was a nice large pull through with some trees but good for solar. Not much privacy between sites but that didn’t bother us. Would definitely stay again if visiting Radium Hot Springs and Kootenay NP, or needing an easy overnight.

Stayed 4 nights end of August and very quiet. Fairly good cell coverage with booster or external antenna. Not much to do in the park itself due to Covid-19 restrictions but lots of hiking trails to enjoy. There is a herd of big horn sheep that travel around the town od Radium Hot Springs which is kind cool.

The access road is a paved steep road which the truck was able to climb easily. My wife and I road our bikes into town and on the climb out we regretted the decision. The truck made it seem easy... it was not.
Verizon (Telus) 1-bar LTE. T-mobile (Bell) 2-bars LTE. The WeBoost really helped shore up the signal to make this a viable work area for us as digital nomads. The beautiful library in town also has good internet speeds.
