“Stunning views and great location”

Reviewed Jul 15, 2019

Really loved the central location. Able to get to fantastic hikes (10 mile creek is a must), beer and burgers in Breckenridge, beautiful lake and mountains to look at, etc. Note: There is water for RV’s at the entrance. Threaded nozzle. Site was a little messy. Small bits of trash laying around. Fire pit needed cleaning. Ot... more

“Great mid week camping!”

Reviewed Aug 23, 2018

Overall Rating

We enjoyed the cool weather, but it would be hot on a sunny day. I bet the rain also kept the dust down. We found that loop D did not ... more

“Nice place to base from and see the area”

Reviewed Jul 17, 2018

Overall Rating

The county dirt road is really wash boarded bad but less than a mile long. I went really slow. In contrast the park roads are gravel and nice. Pulled in on Tuesday noon on 7-17-18 with no reservation and there were several spots to choose from. Loop D has the best views. The place is busy, clean and well run by the hosts. Lots of sun ... more

Camp host were great, helpful in finding a spot because I was unable to make reservations. If camp ground is full they will let you camp in over flow parking. There is a water spicket when you enter the camp ground so you have a way to fill up fresh water. Some spots on the D ring have spots where you can see Dillon Reservoir. T... more
