Came to Dillion, CO for an overnight spot, all campgrounds with hookups were full except for one first come first serve spot at this campground. The location is beautiful on top of the hill and the lake close by, each spot comes with a picnic table, grill, firepit and storage bin. It's a smaller campground but all of the spots seem pretty spacious except for spots 17, 18 and 19 but for just one night we didn't mind and the amenity area for each spot is still large. We have a 29ft travel trailer and wouldn't want to fit a larger rig in those spots. $29 for electric only, sharable water spouts throughout the campground, no dump station on site and vault toilets facilities that look like they were cleaned recently. Dog friendly and host lives in a camper at the entrance of the campground. Was told the campgrounds in the area close October 4th so we came just in time!

This site is very close to site 8 and I can hear every word spoken by our neighbors even when I'm inside my RV (they are talking in normal voices).
The site itself is deep with plenty of room to spread out behind our RV.
Easy access from town. Up a small mountain and back down on a paved road then turn right onto well maintained gravel Rd for a short distance.
Campground host is polite and pleasant.
Camping with our 31' rv and flot towing a jeep.
Verizon LTE 2-3 bars.

We stayed the end of September just before the campground was to close. Because of that there was not water available. There were about a half dozen other campers. Close to Dillon, Frisco (one of our favorite spots), and easy day trips out from here. Somewhat typical forest service campground with limited amenities, gravel roads and pads, vault toilets. As mentioned earlier the road in is gravel and washboard rutted. Camp host was super friendly.

If you walk along the tent road and then continue up the hill you can get a great view of Lake Dillon in about 10 minutes walk. (note, the nightly price paid was the price we paid for four nights divided by 4 which includes a $10 reservation fee and our discount for having a national parks pass.)

We did not stay, but did a drive though.
The turn off road is slightly up hill with washboards to the campsite, 1/2 mile or so. It was tight in there for a rig our size, sites seemed on the small side and not very level. It was a tired looking National Forest Campground.

We loved this campground, and our spot overall. There is no view of the Lake from the campground. It is tucked up behind the mountain, so it’s quiet. We had tons of space behind our spot that opened up and led to a wooded area (perfect for our hammock), and a rock ridge. There were quite a few small, short hikes/walks from our spot that were perfect for our small boys. The only complaint we had about our spot was that the fire ring and picnic area was raised above the parking pad, and it was slippery dirt. There were some rocks around that we tried to make steps with, as the boys kept sliding down and we had to offer a hand every time they needed to go up or down. We drove around a few other campgrounds closer to the lake, and found some sites at Prospector Campground and Peak One that we’d probably enjoy more, but we really did enjoy our Fourth of July weekend here. We love the parade in Frisco, and the fireworks set off from the marina.
