If you are in the upper rows or park models it is not bad. Great group of pickle ball players. Nice bathrooms and exercise room. Small laundry but convenient. People were really friendly and there was a great group at the weekly church service in the clubhouse. There is an exercise trail just past the gate with fun exercise stops. Easy access to hiking at Picacho Peak State park. Nearest Walmart and Walgreens was in Casa Grande or Tuscon. They are expanding the park model area close to the base of Picacho Peak which should be really nice. Starlink worked great here.

Very convenient to highway 10, but also a lot of road noise. Plus trains. We especially noticed the noise since we were in a row of slips closest to it. Otherwise, nice people and a beautiful setting right next to Picacho Peak. Well maintained and clean.

Just working a few days but enjoyed the pool and hot tub as well as a nice sunrise hike up the peak off the back of the resort. Look forward to coming back.
A little bit of rolling noise from the freeway and train tracks but it really wasn’t bad at all. It was kind of a white noise

This 55+ RV park and resort is well maintained. Most people appear to stay long-term, but they have short term spots available without reservations. This 55+ RV park and resort is well maintained. Most people appear to stay long-term, but they have short term spots available without reservations. We aren't in the "55+" age bracket, but if you call ahead, they will likely let you stay without any questions (we're 2 adults and 1 dog).
The park has a large number of park models in the back; the RV spots are in the front of the park, closer to the I-10. Most sites are pull-through sites, with some back-in sites. All sites have a view of something. Most sites have white fence panels between for privacy, but if you're staying over it might be worth driving through to check out the available sites before choosing one.
That brings me to the procedure for overnight camping here. We arrived on a weekend, so the front office wasn't open. Next to the office door, there are two clear boxes -- one with envelopes and the second with maps. The envelopes have site numbers and are available for short term stays. You can compare the site numbers to the map to make sure you get a spot perfect for you. Most sites have both 30 and 50 amps, but the map will identify the ones with only 30 amps available.
The road and train noise is noticeable outside, but not a big deal inside the camper. We did hear the trains sometimes at night, but nothing obnoxious.
The amenities are amazing: putting green, pickleball, horseshoes, dog runs, pool…you name it. The residents were friendly -- lots of golf carts, electric-assist bikes, and small dogs. Despite some large political signs, it was welcoming. We'll be back.

We stopped here without a reservation and were so glad they were able to accommodate us. The resort is lovely - a clean, sparkling pool and spa, nice laundry facility, and the best water we've ever had in a campground. We arrived and were able to take part in a chili cook-off, which was great fun. We were only here for 1 day, so we woke up early in the morning to a beautiful sunrise and hike behind the park which has a beautiful view of Picacho Peak.
The only downside to this place is the location - it is right along side the highway and train tracks. The noise might be a bit loud for some, but we put on some peaceful sounds of the ocean on the iPhone and fell right to sleep.
The campground uses gravel in the campsites. It works great! We had very little dust - one of our neighbors commented on how much he liked the gravel because its use resulted in very little dust.

We stayed here for 2 nights in early April 2016, in a 30 ft gas Class A coach. We give this clean, well-kept 55+ RV resort only 3 stars because it's right off interstate 10 and close to a very busy railroad line. That means the constant drone of noise 24/7. In addition, this very nice resort is far from amenities, winter seasonal visitors have to rent a PO Box in Red Rock, and Internet is rented from AireBeam. However, the resort's location by Picacho Peak State Park is 5 stars. Plus, it's between Casa Grande and Tucson, so it's not in the "big city" if you're looking for a remote location. It's good for a stop over. Dark, starry skies at night are another plus. The few full-time residents here seem quiet and respectful. This 55+ only park is popular with winter "snowbirds" and there are regularly scheduled activities. By March 31st, the snowbirds had left to avoid the 90-100 degree temperatures, so when we visited, the park was a ghost town. The organized social activities ended March 31st, so we have no reviews for them. The park is dog friendly with restrictions for some breeds so call ahead, first. The staff are friendly and helpful; the owner plans to keep RV sites at the front of the park, and put park models on all the other sites. Call the office for Rates as they are changing. RV sites are large, gravel, with a nice picnic table area fenced on two sides for privacy. When you exit Picacho Peak Rd. off I-10, stay on Frontage Road and don't turn to go to the State Park. On the eastern side of I-10, there are two gas stations and -as of this date- a Subway and a Dairy Queen. It takes about a half hour to drive to Casa Grande for shopping, which is a negative to us for long-term stays. There is a nice pool, library, fitness room, clean laundry, nice showers. If you want to winter here, the staff said to call by early August to reserve a site. Tucson is about a 30 minute drive to the south.
