“Not made for big rigs”

Reviewed Mar 07, 2019

Overall Rating

This was a hopeful site, but this is not really a good site for towables and Class A's, though I did find a Class A down the road. It did a bit of damage to the surrounding area to fit in. No, this is a great place for Class C's, van dwellers, and tenters. I was able to fit in on the side of the road at the front. Its plenty quiet a... more

We were deceived about how spacious this place may have been. We new from other reviews we would need to stay close to the road in order to fit but when we got there we had only enough room to turn around. There were two other rigs backed into the cactus forest and no way for us to continue up the narrow dirt road. We got out to take a... more

“Beautiful Desert View”

We stayed closer to the cattle tank, just a couple spots down. We had 2 vans and a tent canopy, which was nice to keep bugs out and little dog in. Very clean and 99% of the time quite, occasionally in day time you would hear shooting in far off distance. Night time was so peaceful you could hear an occasional moo from a cow. Only neg... more

This place is a real gem. Some of the most beautiful landscape I've ever seen, quiet, and peaceful. Someone left a hot dog and rice dumped out on the ground which I promptly burried, but otherwise clean and undisturbed. Will come back again and again.

“Amazing place! ”

I got here on a Thursday after Christmas and was surprised at how few people were here. There's a large area in the front where most people stop, but depending on your rig there's a few more down the road that are very private. I stayed in the fourth spot in a 23 ft trailer. The road does narrow after the 5th or 6th spot though and you... more

“Beautiful desert scenery but not large rig or pet friendly ”

Beautiful cactus forest area. We drove our Jeep Cherokee back in on the road and found we could not get our 35’ class A down this road past the cattle tank entry. We ended up getting AZ pinstripes on our Jeep as a result. There were some smaller rigs, vans and tents further down the dirt road. Beautiful scenery but not pet friendly. To... more

“Beautiful desert landscape. Dark and quiet. ”

Easy dirt road access off of cattle tank road. Bigger rigs would be wise to scout ahead and consider using one of the three or four sites nearest the cattle tanks area for easy turn around. Smaller rigs can go further back with ease.
This place is really scenic and pleasing to the eye. Sites are approximately 1/4 mile apart.

Cattle Tank Rd (recently paved) to a gravel road (32.612627, -111.209088) which has very nice sites on either side (east and west). We brought our 35' Class A about 200' off of the road (west side) to a large spot which will accommodate our big rig, even allowing us turn around. If you are interested in staying here, I suggest pulling ... more
