We camped here from a Friday to a Monday in April 2022. The campground was clean and well-maintained. We had a back-in site adjacent to the beach. Behind us was a 5-foot rockery and at the bottom was a huge, wide, beautiful beach. Lots of area to walk the dogs, fly kites, and play. Wood fires aren’t allowed at the campsites, but are allowed on the beach. Lots of dogs, but most everybody was mindful of their pets. There is a great network of trails in the dunes above the beach, and of course, the beach is wide-open. Even if there are lots of people, there is plenty of room. Showers usually require tokens (purchased at the office) but this weekend, they were free. We used our own shower, so did not partake, but FREE SHOWERS! There’s a convenience store/gas station in Pacific Beach, and the next nearest civilization is Ocean Shores, about 20 minutes to the south. We will definitely have other trips here.

$10 off season pass for hookup. Free for tent site but not many of them. Zero privacy pads 20 feet apart. Right on the ocean for that melody. Uninteresting flat long beach beach with cars getting salty sand in their works. Convenience store 1/4 mile away.

We weren’t really paying attention when we booked 6mo ago and showed up with empty tanks ready to hook to sewer and water. Of course, it wasn’t until after we had unhooked everything and I went to connect the water that I realized this was an electric only facility. Luckily we had our 7gal jug and just humped a couple loads of water each day to get us going. The river on the south side is just incredible and it’s so nice being able to let the dog swim in fresh water. The river goes from shin deep to waist deep depending on the tide and the kids had a blast swimming all day. Incredible sunsets on the ocean side. Not much privacy. Sites are pretty tight. Very windy. But man, we’d do it all over again because of the beach and river combo. Drive 1mi south and grab lunch in Seabrook.

Very nice campground right on the beach. The grounds were very clean. Sites are all back in and can be tight if there is a vehicle across from your space when you try and back in. Didn't give five stars because price is $40 with electric only. Dump and water fill up are available right on the grounds. The camp host was friendly and seemed to be available quite a lot. Walk to the beach but if you have site 17 be aware it's next to the walkway to go to the beach. We were across from it and it felt like people were constantly coming and going. Some sites had some major flooding issues when it rained, but then we got an exorbitant amountwhile we were there.
I saw some people complain about the ocean view being on the wrong side of their rig. Just choose your site carefully. We were in the second row on the end, but had the back of the rig with a picture window facing the ocean and had a terrific view. Based on the number of RVs we saw even in the off season, I would imagine it's extremely busy in the summer. We really enjoyed the cg and the beach.

The bathrooms/showers are absolutely filthy and in need of repair. Some had no toilet paper or soap. I tried not to touch anything and would have preferred boondocking with no facilities. No human to help with check-in, I filled out the forms and dropped in the box as the note on the office directed, then later had a note on my vehicle that I needed to register. Also be advised that there is no shade and you are completely exposed to wind/sun/rain. Tmobile had no cell coverage but the camp wifi was good enough to do some light surfing and texting. I would not consider staying here again under any circumstances.

Stayed one night and enjoyed the beach the campground is on. No water at sites but you can fill your tanks near dump station. Host was very friendly and spot was one row off of ocean and easy to back into. We will be back! State park did have ok wifi and coverage was decent for area.
