We really enjoyed our stay here! When we showed up to our site we realized that the wifi didn’t reach our site and we need wifi to work from home. The manager was super accommodating and was able to move us to a different site closer to the office with a great wifi connection. Our site was big, clean, and quiet. We loved all of the wild flowers around the park and being so close to the lake. All of the staff was super friendly. The bathrooms are currently under construction, they are still open and functional. They are currently adding a laundry room onto the bathroom. Overall an excellent stay!

This campground is old school. No computers. No reservation system other than a paper book. Made a reservation for the dates above just a few days before arrival. Upon actual arrival, they found us in the books for July. NOT for the days we reserved. They offered us a boondocking site (no utilities) after stating on the phone that we would have FHU's. (There are no sites for large rigs that have any utilities at all).
BE AWARE. This is an old campground. They do not maintain the grounds. It is left to nature. The campground is on the side of a steep hill. Roads are narrow. All are gravel/dirt. Some are very rough. If you have a pop up tent camper or something less than 25', you might find this park suitable (for a short stay). They have FHU's to most of those but tight turn into spaces. Many are locals who take up space all summer (year). If you have a rig larger than 25', avoid this park unless you want to specifically boondock. There area a few sites at the bottom of the hill. You will likely have to mow your own spot to get in. There is a dump station near the office at the top of the hill. You'll be blocking the road to use it and it will likely be on the wrong side of the RV. There are bears and mountain lions in the area. Be bear aware. We saw a felt buck deer a few yards from our space. There are no views of the lake. it's on the opposite side of the hill/roadway. If you park in the boondocking spaces, you'll be next to a gravel pit and abandoned RV. Restroom /shower facilities are old. Usable if you have to. Using your RV facilities is probably better. We did. A water spigot is available near the boondocking sites. Fill and go to your spot. They leave a garden hose for use there (not rated for potable water). The turn-around is at the bottom of the hill. Solar is site 43 is sufficient. We have 1350W and 4 Lithium batteries. We were able to fully charge each day (full sun).
Verizon service is 2 bars. TV stations are available on over-the-air waves. Point to 270 degrees for 59 channels (some duplicates).
Big Fork is a few miles down the road. A tourist trap for sure. Lots of Cherry Orchards in the area for those getting there mid June to July.
We stayed in a 42' 5th wheel - weight 20,000 lbs. It was a steep hill down. We used 4-wheel drive to get back up to the top. A slow go to keep from sliding on the gravel / dirt road. Use the main road in. Use of any other road has sharp turns, trees and rough surfaces. Most impassible for rigs longer than 25'.
We would NOT stay here again.
$45.00 for two nights - No Utilities on site - Mowed our own space. Being on the bottom of a hill, its fairly quiet. You will still hear some road traffic at the top. The pictures shown above are deceiving.

This place surprised us! It was the cheapest option around the Flathead we could find and we were not disappointed! It was perfect for our needs that week. Quiet, remote, but only a mile walk to Lake Flathead where you can hop in and go for a swim. They also have water toys you can rent (kayaks, paddle boards, etc). We didn't have time, but it's great they offer that! Seems to be a place with a lot of longterm RVers. Noise was not an issue and you felt very nestled and remote while there.
WIFI & CELL SERVICE: The best place thus far we have camped this year Wifi wise. It was high speed and worked perfect the whole time for us. AT&T service was 2 out of 4 bars, but calls came through just fine throughout the entire park.
SITE: Getting into our site was a bit challenging. For all of those who are looking for a back-in challenge, this is your spot! We had to go in the out which was up hill and then back in between pine trees because they are everywhere, but once we were settled into our site, it was mostly level and we enjoyed our little space. Trashcans conveniently throughout the entire park.
NEARBY: Lake Flathead; the historic downtown of Bigfork is cute, but small and not much going on. We got some ice cream. We did find a great running trail (Swan River Nature Trail) nearby that was 2 miles one way - flat and smooth gravel so no worries about rolling an ankle. Highly recommended!

We made reservations last minute so they only had sites available in the tent only area. Our 30’ fifth wheel fit plenty fine and there were much bigger campers down in the tent area as well since it’s really just a big open grass area. The hardest part is getting level out there. There is no hookups in the tent area but there is a water fill up station central to the tent area you can pull up next to to fill up. No WiFi down there but Verizon had great coverage with 4-5 bars. Showers and restroom are a short walk up the hill and nice enough. There is a dump station for $5 you can use when you leave and they have propane refill as well.
You can’t beat the price compared to similar parks nearby and the accessibility to Flathead Lake.
There is a nice small swimming area & boat launch if you go to the fishing access spot in Woods Bay.

Rates are $485 + electric ($36-42 per month from November until the end of May), $560 per month June to September.
The sites I stayed in all had 30 amp power, sewer (although the distance between the power box and sewer connection in space #7 were inordinately far away), and water. Internet was tolerable some of the time but tended to go out fairly often, as does the power (when the power is out so is the water to the park) so I had to run the generator and use the water in my fresh water tank. The power is relatively stable when it’s working. I have a surge protector for my motorhome and watched it pretty closely. The water pressure is good and I didn’t have to use a pressure regulator.
I am a rather private person and found it annoying that Kathy was always coming into my site with some nit picky things that I had to do. She told me one time that I had to train my dogs (2 miniature Dachshunds) not to bark. Well they didn’t bark that much, only if someone was near my motorhome. Dogs bark!!
Also, if you’re there long term they make you give them a $350 deposit. There is nothing in the website that says you must give them a 30 day notice that you’re leaving. When I was ready to leave in May of 2020 I gave them 20 days notice and Kathy refused to give me my whole deposit back (she gave me $150 back. Her reason: they couldn’t rent the site out because I didn’t give them notice. However, she had the site rented out the same day I gave notice that I was leaving and was at my site the day I left rushing me out of the place because someone was waiting to pull in).
The sites are fairly level in the upper part of the park (50 sites altogether) are fairly level, but they are surrounded by mature trees that make the site you’re in seem crowded. In all the spots I was in if I would have had slide outs or an awning I couldn’t have used them.
Another reviewer said you couldn’t hear the traffic from hwy 35 but I was constantly hearing trucks with their Jake brakes going. Annoying!
Nearby Wood’s Bay was quaint with a couple of restaurants (to the south about 2 miles) and to the north is Bigfork (5 1/2 miles) with access to a pharmacy, a small grocery store and a few small restaurants and churches. Prices are high though because Bigfork is such a tourist destination. In order to get decent prices on groceries you must drive the 27 miles into Kalispell where there is a Costco, Super 1, Smith’s and Walmart.
Flathead Lake is supposed to be a big attraction but in the East side of the lake near the campground access is very limited and almost exclusively private.

The campground gets lots of people who stay a few days (from what we could see) to enjoy the nearby lake.

WiFi was super fast which made for a nice change and a chance to catch up on some downloading!

This place was nice, but I prefer more space around me. Every space is shady with mature trees. Many campers appear to rent their space for the whole season or year. Kind of had a trailer park feel. Bathrooms are fine. Showers are coin operated. Close to Woods Bay, where a couple of dining options are available.

The negative is that the place looks tired and needs some tender loving care. I found the restrooms to be marginal but reasonably clean. I personally did not use them and elected the facilities in the camper. The camp spots are reasonably large but not all are level
The town is neat and there is a lovely lake but much of it is on private property.
There is no laundry facilities but a pretty good one in Bigfort which is about four miles.
Wi Fie appear to be in good order and cell access is pretty good

“Their Booking Website Is Not Accurate - Be Warned”

I was attempting to book a trip to this campground and had my selected site in the cart (there were 3 to choose from) and called to ask a question, I explained I was in the middle of booking for July and she said she didn’t have anything available. I said well your site is telling me you have 3 sites available for my dates, she asked which ones I told her and she they all three were booked. She then proceeded to tell me I could go ahead and book and they would find a way to accommodate me. I asked what that meant and she said they have a large lot area the put anyone who has a mess up (apparently it’s a common thing) - be ware, don’t trust their website.
