We really enjoyed our visit to the state park. The check-in process was easy at the visitor center and we drove to the campground very slowly as a dense fog settled in. The campground was full mid-week in March when we visited.
The bathrooms were very clean and well maintained.
We enjoyed the access to the various trails from the campground. We walked to the lodge for a meal one morning and back to the campground. The views from the overlooks are amazing.
We will certainly look forward to returning at some point to do a bit more distance on the trails.

We stayed in late September of 2021. Clean, nice park with a decent amount of space between sites. Full hookups too. Paved parking spots, fairly level. Cell service is actually pretty spotty and you couldn’t stream for sure (on Verizon). We booked in advance on the state site.

We are 50+ so we took the easy trails and didn't have to keep track of adventurous kids or pets. The campground was very clean with generous trash containers. There is full hookup and was easy parking. Great picnic tables and tent pad, which some people used for blow up pools for their kids. Truly was fantanstic...THE TROUBLE IS GETTING THERE. The roads are precarious with steep inclines and sharp turns, it was "white knuckle" for most of the drive there...definitely drive up through Paris, Arkansas.

Probably the quietest campground we’ve ever stayed in! Super nice folks. Very accommodating. Large clean spaces. Fairly level pavement plus tent area. Lodge is spectacular to visit for the views.

Campground is nice, facilities are fairly new and clean, sites are not to close together, probably 50 feet to our neighbor's site. Lodge is luxurious and has free wifi. We got wireless internet at our site with a hotspot and portable antenna. Lot's of nice trails. Be sure to bring your tick and chigger repellent! Our rate reflects senior discount. Regular rate is $32. Our site has full hookups.

Loved this state park, we had a very private site with beautiful forest, wildflowers and fireflies to look at. Site 15. Lodge was gorgeous and the views from driving around were great. Did lots of hikes. Tons of ticks in the summer though so be careful.

We spent 4 nights here during Spring Break in 2018. Sites are spacious and well laid out. The pads are level asphalt with gravel around the picnic table and fire pit. No, it's not the Rockies but Mount Magazine is the highest point in Arkansas and worth the trip. Some switchbacks on the road up the mountain but take your time and even the big rigs shouldn't have any problems.

Really nice, no pull throughs, but still easy access to back in, with long deep sites for RV’s. Very clean with several hiking trails in the park, and a very nice lodge on the south rim of the mountain. We visited in October and the park was full.

There are 18 sites they all have a full hookup, tent area, lantern hook, fire ring, picnic table and grill. The lodge was gorgeous and dog friendly on the patio. The restaurant served good food, not fancy but well prepared. You did have to fill out a form for private membership to get a cocktail, but it was easy and didn't cost. Bring all your booze as Paris only sells local wine and has limited beer selection. No liquor stores in Paris. There was a Wal-Mart, McDonalds, Sonic, and Taco Bell. Havana didn't have any stores other than a small gas station. Lots of hiking trails and the Cameron Bluff overlook was beautiful. All the park and lodge employees seemed very nice and friendly. AT&T cell phone coverage was almost non-existent until you drove up to the lodge.
