Generally Tx State Parks are well designed and this park is no exception. Great sites. Nice bathrooms . Pretty lake . Decent hiking . Free fishing from shore or pier. Good spacing between sites with concrete pads.
Nice CG with good host but if you are there in summer /early fall VERY ANNOYING noise from ATVers . There is ATV rental shop 2 miles away and they a going much of day and come into CG to use bathroom . NOT my idea of good camping experience Good...
Considering expense , site experience not great . Nice bathroom . Noisy since 10 feet from next camper . This is not what I like . Staff helpful. There are MANY CG in area . I would try to go elsewhere next time

Private CG that has some trees . Bathroom ok . Good wifi in office area . Good view of Badlands. Staff helpful. Flat sites . There are not a lot of CG in area so this worked well for us . Close to Badlands NP visitors center with close by hiking ....
Private CG nicer than KOA close by IMO. CG doesnt look like much when you drive by, but great view and access to Devils Tower. Awesome bathrooms and shower. Not so crowded like KOA and cheaper. Staff friendly .

This is gravel pit that will accommodate several rigs ( probably 15) . If the assigned sites on Spread Creek are full , as in our case, this is good alternative . You may not want to stay several night but it is FREE. Gravel pit is flat.
