I stayed 3 weeks some of the time in Primative camping($0) the rest in partial hook up (electric and water)($15). This State Recreation Area did in fact get hit by the flood some years ago. It's open again and mostly cleaned up. The State spent the money to put up a new sign declaring their high fees, but doesn't appear to put much effort into the campground. Was staying at the BLM 717 sites nearby and wanted to check this out. I did not camp here. Would not recommend since the 717 sites are so nice. Have to go through 2 cattle gates. Road is rutted and not suitable for rv's. Camping spots are about 2 to 2/12 miles in. Best for tenters with cars. Cell coverage very good.

Love the available spaces in this area. Most sites have great views. The turnoff is hard to miss. Using Google maps the road is listed as K4020. There is a yellow cattle guard and tall deer fence. For the next 1/2 miles there are several great sites that any type RV can use. My 24' with towed vehicle was fine. Access road was a little rutted but...
