{Dates Stayed: May 24-30, 2024} As with most military lodging facilities, only those with a valid Military ID, their families & sponsored guests are eligible to stay. You can not make reservations at this AFB, it is FCFS, check in with the office for site assignment. Best to call ahead for an idea as to what the population may be for dates you plan to arrive. Also there are some specific gate access instructions as posted on their website & verbally if calling. Eventho the Eubank Gate is closest to FamCamp it is defiantly one to avoid with your rig; either you won't fit or you'll do damage to both entrance & rig. Gibson & Wyoming Gates have specific times. The Truman Gate is really to best gate to use with your rig, however it is the farthest away so several turns & streets to get to the opposite side of this base. The Eubank Gate is perfect for access to the community with your tow or toad vehicle, the closest Walmart is straight North on Eubank Blvd. This park is divided into two areas, West & East. The first, West, is older with mature trees & grass, some sites concrete, most with gravel pads. The second, East, is newer, all pull-throughs with gravel throughout but wider than the West. No trees hardly at all. The bathhouse at this second area is newer but the fixtures were extreme institutional. The older bathhouse was more residential but could use a makeover.

Camp is large enough and has many spots. Unfortunately, with no staff on the weekends, the list of available spots is all wrong. We arrived on a Sat afternoon and found there was an abundance of spots available because people left. The fact they left and the spot was available was not reflected on the list at the check-in hut. The restroom and showers nearest our site were in need some serious repairs. They did have a big fancy CCT camera on both entrances though! Also, getting through the main gate isn't the most fun. They have a lot of metal barriers/doors/gates that are very close on the sides of your rig as you approach the gate shack. For $35 per night at a Military campground, I expected better. MWR needs to step their game at this location. They're almost charging the same amount as a private campground where they had to buy the land and pay property taxes and have staff on duty during the weekends.

Dave, Jesus and the other guys were great and helped me out with my repairs. The camp could use a shower upgrade. One shower is just not enough but they were clean. All of the machines in the laundry room worked well but only take coins. There is a doggy wash station and propane on site. The park is ok but they need another one for larger dogs. All in all we enjoyed our stay. The fam camp staff,, Joe, Hong and Brandi were great and made us feel welcome.

Military ID required to enter. Nice and quiet, plenty of space, clean restrooms and full hookups. Commissary, gas station and the Base Exchange available at the base.

With it being first come first serve we worried it would be full, thank goodness there were plenty of sites left. Did the self check in no issues. Spending the weekend and moving on. Gravel spaces in the newer section has picknic tables at all sites, few trees.

Dec 2021: Stayed in “new” section of RV park. All gravel sites but plenty wide and long. Pulled in on Thursday evening about 6p and found a number of empty sites to choose from. Easy in and out. Used the self check-in procedure. Chose site before visiting office, maybe should have checked in there before taking a site. They have a campground map with grease pencil marks indicating sites taken. Still worked out okay. The information board at office indicated wi-fi but signal very poor for the area we stayed. Gassed up at West Side Exchange pumps, open 24 hrs.

Would recommend site 24. Looked like the best site in the campground. It was quiet. Checked in after hours and the process was very smooth. Internet speeds were decent. ATT was about 35-40 down and 4 up. Verizon was 35-40 with 1 up.
