My girlfriend and 2 dogs stayed here middle of June 2023. We stayed in campsite 5 which we think is the best. We arrived on a Thursday afternoon and the campground was completely empty except for the camp hosts. Had a great time staying at this camp. There is no cell service at all here. You would have to drive back to Trimmer to start picking up bars and to the lake marina's to get 4g. We have T-Mobile and Verizon. There are pit toilets which are clean, but have no lighting in the bathroom, so night time better bring a flashlight. There is no water or electricity here either. You can swim in the river shallow areas, but the flow is too fast to go more than 10 feet out from shore. The camp is a big river rafting assembly place. On Saturday afternoon less than half the spots were taken. It was in the high 70's to low 80's temperature. Hosts said in 2024 that the camp with cost money, around $20 a night. Glad we came when it was free, because we probably wouldn't pay to stay here. Down the dirt roads there are other places to camp for free.

First and foremost; we did not camp here as we need cell reception for our jobs. This place had NO SERVICE for AT&T, T-Mobile and Verizon. BUT
This campground has pit toilets, 20 some campsites plus group campsites and a raft launch. The Group campsites area were closed in early March. Cows do roam around but they don't seem to bother with the campers. Close views of the river. There were only 3 campers when we visited on a Saturday night. It's quite a ways from any resupply so be sure to bring all your water, food and make sure your tanks are empty as there is no nearby amenities beside a pit toilet.
Access was easy on a curvy, paved road the whole way from Fresno. There was a 20+ft Lance trailer/pickup there so it's accessible with those types of rigs, at the very least.
If cell reception were no issue, I would think this place would make for a good campground for up to 14 days and FREE.
