I arrived on a Thursday night and I was seemingly the only person in the area that I saw. Not exactly sure if there were other places to camp. The area I stay had room for maybe 3 cars. The GPS only took me so far, so I just drove until I found an area that looked like I was allowed to camp at. It was a really nice quiet stay on a week... more

When we got up there, there was some sort of religious gathering going on and there were no open campsites. The reservoir is small, and the campsites were also short in length and not level.

I loved this place. Visited it first for a week then returned for another The lake is stocked with rainbow trout so fishing was good but better yet was sitting watching the bald eagles and osprey fish and fly. There are range cattle that do move around the lake and if someone were adverse to listening to them calling for thier friends or calves it could be distracting. There are just vault toilets but they were clean. You must take in water and carry out trash. The first trip we stayed near the boat dock in the only site there which was big enough for our two small trailers. One table and fire ring The next trip we went to the 2nd camp area which is bigger and could accomadate larger trailers and RVs but only one table and fire ring
The third site has no toilet but again is large enough for a bigger trailer or RV or group had 2 tables and 1 fire ring The lake does green up in late summer so not the best for swimming. No cell service by any big carriers but spotty with US cellular. I had to drive 30 miles to either Beatty or Lakeview to get Att service This is seems to be a place the locals go to fish primarily as day use seemed the busiest
