I'll start off by saying that we did not stay at this location. We did a review video (in the video tab) of several of the free spots in the area. I did explore this area a bit and there are a few (maybe 8-9) good spots. All of them are fairly close to the road so road noise may be an issue. Though at night seems to be very little traffic. We ended up staying at Stockton Pass Dispersed instead which is an option in the area and at high elevations if Safford is too hot.
A couple of resources I thought we would provide.
Free Dump Station (Safford Water Reclamation Plant)

Free Potable Water

Starlink (residential with roaming)
Strong Speeds with few obstructions
We also did a video review of this campsite as well as several of the others in the area. You will find it on the Videos Tab here on Campendium
The Wandering Shores would stay here again

Very heavily trampled everywhere. Lots of trash blowing around means skunks and rats at the least, I saw 3 skunks before I parked and I smelled one outside my truck in the night. I was only able to level my bed by parking partly in a ditch. It was very windy and I woke to several vehicles driving by in the night. Saddened by all the trash, packed out what I could. Much better spots exist.

It was 80 in Safford but was about 70 at our campsite when we arrived. The higher altitude made for cool night, probably in the low forties, good sleeping for us. Very quiet and peaceful. Definitely would stay again if in the area.
