Had very nice campsites. There were about four other campers there when I was there. I would most definitely stay there again. You do hear the trains, but they don’t run by too often. Easy access to the river the bathrooms were OK.

We had a delightlful time here. No trouble finding a spot when we stayed the last week of October 2022. Sites are all wooded but we had some sun with the leaves off the trees. About half spots were occupied on first night, only a few on the second night. Starting n 2023 reservations will, be required! The narrow winding single-lane road down to river was navigable, but just, with my 28 ft travel trailer. About half of the sites are generous enough for a mid-sized RV. There is river access at this site, but not much else. A short drive to hikes and other Park attractions. I could make Verizon phone calls if a walked to the next camp site and stood on a big rock! Don't forget to bring water, there is none here.

The train did pass by several times but didn’t disturb our stay or sleep! Everyone was super friendly here! The bathrooms are to be expected for a campsite, they get the job done lol! Very peaceful experience here. Our dogs had a great time too! They did have a sign posted that said they were going to be charging for spots starting in 2023!

Surprised at the narrow hill to go down to get there but it was easy enough. It's right along New River. Pot toilets. Everyone there very nice. Sandy and rocky beaches. Train goes by. Only heard twice in 30 hours there. Has a launch.
Verizon service by river. Touch and go at site.

This campsite was easy to get to. There were about 10 drive up spot and 6 walk to campsites. It was a busy spot. We arrived around 6pm and all of the drive up spots were taken. We secured our walk in campsite. These sites were best for tent camping. We were right by the river. It was very sandy. This was not a quiet campsite at all. There was a lot of noise from the railroad and nearby roads. There were vault toilets (very stinky but better than nothing). Overall this was a good spot for the night. There was a sign that said starting in 2023 this site was going to be by reservation only. Cell reception (Verizon) was spotty.

I didn't actually stay here but checked it out on my way to Glade Creek Campground. A very steep, narrow road goes down to the sites. This campground is best for tenters and small RVs under 15 feet. Sites are close together and the loop road is narrow with trees bordering it. Next to the New River.

We stayed in site 9, which in my opinion is the best site. The parking spot is long. So if you have a 5th wheel or long trailer then this site would be perfect.
There are bathrooms and garbage. A boat ramp, and a day use area where you can go hang by the river.
The walkin tent sites by the river are amazing. However the bugs are bad down there this time of year.
People have been marking their spots as occupied while out exploring the park, and others seem to be very respectful of that.
This spot is about 30 min from the Canyon Rim Visitor Center. And very easy to get in and out of.
Tmoblie with Weboost and Hotspot. Got spotty service. Folks we met with Verizon had no service.

Clean, level sites, uncrowded and easy access to river and National Park. Train traffic through the night was present but not overly disturbing.
