Does anyone know of a place to dump tanks going north on 191 from Forest Road 217 campsites?

We had 3 38’ fifth wheels and pulled into the first field on the left past the cattle guard. Plenty of room - could have fit -0 large rigs in here. T-Mobile 5G is strong here (full bars). We circled the large fire pit and stayed 3 nights. Will definitely be back

Beautiful area to spend some time. It is much cooler than locations farther south due to over 8,000 ft. elevation. Plenty of spaces for any size rig. Road scraper from forest service came by twice while we were there so road in good shape. Looked at several other boondocking locations in the area and this one was the best in our opinion. During the holiday weekend there were groups with numerous OHVs but we expected that. We had a site that we could not see anyone else so it was good for us. Verizon is very poor, even boosted. If we were to return, we might look for a place closer to the beautiful Flaming Gorge.

With so much room and smooth roads I would most definitely stay here again if in the area.

We set-up here this summer to explore the different sides of Dinosaur National Park. Several 'parks' to choose from. We shared a large open space with a couple other families and our kids all played together. Good trails to explore on bikes or moto. It is a popular ORV area so be prepared.

Temps mid-70’s to 80, but afternoon clouds roll in and cools things off. During the week, very little traffic. Weekends seem to be locals because they are in big groups. Extremely quiet, peaceful, very safe, and most importantly-cool. Signs at entrance state “Bear Country” but I had no issues probably because I was closer to entrance off Hwy 191 than deeper in. Pit toilets at entrance and Ranger came around once recording everyone’s tag info. 100% dispersed camping, so come prepared. Vernal is about 23 miles and has everything you need. Laundry at C&L Laundry was clean and inexpensive. Tons of restaurants, Walmart, Walgreens, and a few sporting good stores. $5 showers at Anytime Fitness. Propane at Sav on Propane was $1.99 and big rig friendly. Dumped trash just at edge of town at a gas station (not sure name) that has no attendant. Red Fleet and Steinaker State Parks are close by to dump - not sure of fee. I believe AT&T tower close by - 4 bars. No Verizon Service. 45 TV channels with RV antenna.

Although we were almost an hour from Dinosaur it was worth it not to have to travel down the mountain with our rig since we were going back up when we left. Plenty of room some highway noise but not much traffic so we barely noticed. Hiking trails close by. There isn't a road sign so it is easy to miss. Use coordinates when entering into your GPS.

Otherwise, it was fantastic! We got our regular wildlife visitors every evening. I've never seen so many deer in one area before and not bothered by people!
Park rangers came around every few days - everywhere was super clean.
This place is an awesome boondocking spot - everyone is so spaced out that you feel like you're the only one there. Lots of off-roading trails around the area too.
We got water at the Chevron in town (Vernal) - for anyone who brings water back to their rig.

Nice area near Flaming Gorge/Green River. We took our 43’ toy hauler into this area. Found a spot in some small aspens very quickly. Plenty of room for the biggest of rigs.
At the time we were there, there was very little ax’s or atv noise. Great area to boondock and enjoy free camping.
