This was our second time staying there. We will make it our regular stop when we pass through. Wonderful trails by the lake to walk with the dogs, clean restrooms and showers, campsite had even been freshly raked/cleaned before we arrived. Let’s of trees and decent sized spots!

This campground was a lovely find! So clean and peaceful! Fool Hollow lake is right nearby and is a great lake for kayaking. There is also a very walkable 1.8 mile one way trail around part of the lake. The tent sites are $25 a night and the RV sites are $35 a night. I originally had a tent site but realized that the lake would be more accessible with an RV site so I upgraded to the $35 even though I did not need the amenities as I did not have an RV. it was definitely worth the extra money! The bathrooms are clean and provide a shower with hot water, a sink and flushing toilets. It is very quiet here at night because generators are not allowed. Each RV site has water and electric hook ups. Cell service is pretty good. I have Verizon and was able to get two bars of 5G. I enjoyed my stay here immensely and will definitely be back!

Begin with warning. Many sites in Cinnamon Teal and Ruddy Duck are combined sites best for family or friends traveling together. Important to Read remarks section. We initially had site 2 at C Teal. First night was lovely. Second day a large family arrived with two huge RVs They thought they were going to be side-by-side. Instead we were in the middle. They couldn’t open all their pullouts. We all barely had room to move, certainly little privacy. The third day we were lucky to get to move to The red duck section because there had been a cancellation The families quickly booked our #2 site so no one would book in our place.
The park itself is lovely. Lots of walking paths around the reservoir. For just a few extra dollars Mallard and red duck sections have sewer in addition to electric and water. The Ranger station staff were very kind and accommodating, and helping us make the change.

This campground is one of my favorite state parks. Super clean and amazing camphosts.
I don't think we would stay in site 26 again since it's considered a double site so we had neighbors right next to us, but the view of the bluffs and lake were amazing there.

This is an extremely nice campground! Concrete sites that are mostly level and many with lake views. Site #11 in the Mallard Loop was the most suited for our length that had availability for our dates (36’ DP pulling a car trailer = 55’+ LOA). Be aware that the length of the site includes the tent pad at the back of the site, and is not actually useable for an RV due to the parking blocks set towards the back of the site. So, our 69’ site barely fit our set-up (nose just out of the loop road). It was a beautiful and clean park. We are excited to return for a longer stay sometime in the future. Note: we did take Hwy 60 from Show Low to Globe and I only recommend this route for big rig drivers that are very confident in their mountain driving skills and the mechanical soundness of their rig (two lane road, very few spots with a shoulder and long, winding sections with 6-8% grades). It is a stunning drive!

After a blown tire, damaged tail pipe & my outside plumbing destroyed by the blown tire, I finally made it to fool hollow. James is so helpful & good at what he does. But don't be Hispanic & run into Ranger bigot Ray. I accidentaly went the wrong way as did my white neighbor. I was 2" on the dirt, while my white neighbor had his truck 1/2 of it on the dirt.. He didn't say much to my white neighbor, but what a ass chewing I got. Then he had the nerve to tell his partner that I was nothing but a trouble maker. I wanted to confront him, but it was to early in my stay to do ..that!!! My white neighbor also damaged the water faucet & knocked down the pole that holds the pass. Nothing was said or done about it. The other rangers could smile a little...
