We arrived on a Thursday at 8pm and most of the tent sites were full. There was only one other camper. As stated before there is plenty of room around the perimeter if the sites are taken. Nice big pull through sites with covered picnic tables and grills and fire pits. Pit toilet was very clean with an abundance of tp. We stayed for 2 nights and...
Wahweap Campground has dramatic views of the buttes and plateaux surrounding Lake Powell. The campground faces east, but the nightly light show on the cliffs at sunset is spectacular. Even during the day when there are cloudy, you get a lovely show of color and shadows. The expensive full hook-up sites tend to be in better condition than...
• Nice long site, easily accommodates larger rigs.
• Staff are excellent.
• WIFI is horrible, but my Roger Hot spot worked great.
• I 90 is close, but you can’t really hear it because of the trains. They do offer free ear plugs.
• If it was not for the trains, this would be an amazing campground.
We wanted something close to Nacogdoches tx. This was just off way. It has about 12 short stays spots and 10 or so nightly spots. $40/night. 50 amp service. No wifi . Long pull thru spots that allowed us to not disconnect toad. Very quiet, clean.
Did not ask or see restroom/showers
Very nice host
Large sites! No hook ups. Vault toilets, not serviced often though. They are now charging $15 per night. Got in easily with 35 ft 5th wheel, felt safe to leave camper during day for outings.
