We came here October 27-30, 2021. The site was closed for the season (no pay box, bathrooms and trash locked), but there’s nothing stopping you from staying there in the off season. We stayed for 3 nights with no issues. Also, it should be noted that these are TENT ONLY campsites. You park along the street and carry your gear to the si... more
We came here October 27-30, 2021. The site was closed for the season (no pay box, bathrooms and trash locked), but there’s nothing stopping you from staying there in the off season. We stayed for 3 nights with no issues. Also, it should be noted that these are TENT ONLY campsites. You park along the street and carry your gear to the site. So these would not be suitable for vans or RVs.

We couldn’t book any of the Yosemite campgrounds and opted for Dry Gulch because it was so close to the park’s west entrance. You don’t get the same communal feel as you would in the valley, but our site was incredibly private, and that provided its own benefits. We couldn’t book any of the Yosemite campgrounds and opted for Dry Gulch because it was so close to the park’s west entrance. You don’t get the same communal feel as you would in the valley, but our site was incredibly private, and that provided its own benefits. The loud creek beside the site cancelled out all the noise and meant we could bath and wash our dishes in it each day. The toilets were very clean. Would definitely stay again!
