I was just out there last week and it was on a list of a couple of places for me to check out Tuesday and it was a very small campground that was not very well-kept and it was right next to a main highway so you would get all the noise from that there are better campsites around

Area for bringing horses with temp stalls and riding into the mountains. There are so many jaw-dropping views to see in this area. We parked our RV trailer and drove and explored the area. We loved our spot south of Hwy 296 because of the sunny site ... we have solar, we had no neighbors until the last night (they were not even close) and the views from our lounge chairs were phenomenal. The campsite north of Hwy 296 looked nice. The camp host provided wood for the campsites. We hope to be back!!!

Although I did not stay, it looked like a nice place to stay. A creek runs through the campground with lots of shade. Not many people around and the surrounding mountains are impressive. Limited facilities. Easy access for most campers and cars. It would be a good stop over on the way to Yellowstone or on the way out.
