“Reservable CDC campground near Beartooth Mtns, Chief Joseph Highway, and Yellowstone NE Entrance”

Not my best experience at a FS campground, but not terrible, either. When we arrived the camp host was on their day off, so there was no one to answer questions about bear activity in the area, so we assumed typical Yellowstone rules applied. Also, the one way loop was blocked by a downed tree across the road and this made backing into our site more difficult because of the angle and tight space.
The campground was silent at night, apart from the nearby river. The bugs were moderate. In the morning, we heard a noise which we first mistaked for a drone, then mini bikes, but it really turned out to be a cattle roundup coming down the road, complete with spiffy dresses cowboys. This seemed pretty cool, but we soon learned the road outside of the campground was now riddled with manure, which, I am still trying to get off of my TV.
Absolutely no cell service, here.

“Lovely bubbling river”

We stayed one night in August. The campground was full - luckily we had reserved a spot in advance.
This is just a short distance from the Beartooth highway. And right on a lovely bubbling river.
A few mosquitos, but a little bug spray managed just fine.
Sites are nicely spaced. Restroom was very clean. Only one water hydrant was working, but that's plenty for a small campground like this.
It is situated immediately between the highway and the river, so there is highway noise. But in the evening and early morning, there is very little traffic.
