We arrived on Tuesday late afternoon. Still had our pick although we did pass several on our way out headed into the wilds could have been headed there as most had horse trailers.
There are 5 sites in the campground itself. We had to do a bit of leveling but ran out of jack. Each had the fire ring and picnic table, pit toilet was clean although low on tp.
No water available for drinking.
It had beautiful views. Could see haystack reservoir in the distance.
Watch for cows as it is a free range area. Water had gullies some areas of the road but we also had the Prius and managed to get it in with only a few light bottom scrapes with some slow methodical and choosy driving.

I camped here because my first choice of campground was full. Cyrus Horse Camp was SO quiet. I am glad now that the other campgrounds were full. There were only two other campers at Cyrus when I was there. I had the pick of several spots so it was easy to level up my 25' trailer. I was there during a High Fire Danger warning so campfires were not allowed. There are steel fire pits and wooden picnic tables throughout the camp site. Some of the roads into the area are rough. The view to the west was very nice. The best route I found was off of US HWY 26, west along SE Laurel Ln 2.9 miles; then south on a road that is just east of Gray Butte Cemetery, to SE Hagman Ln, then bear to the right along Hagman to the camp ground.

The road to get here is unpaved and a few large ruts to navigate. 8-10 sites. Each has a coral for horses, and a fire ring. Trees all around. It can be quite windy here and difficult to tent camp.

I was the only one at the entire campground (on a thursday night)
It was clean, quiet, and stunning- I can't believe I had it all to myself!
A great spot to camp for free.
Spotty service- sometimes had LTE and I was able to make a phone call.

A great stop in the off season, during the week. This small CG looks like a park with the exception of the horse poop. I am sure this place is hopping with horses and riders on the weekend and during warmer weather. But we had the place all to ourselves. Great views, hiking trails, fire rings, clean vault toilet, picnic tables and great cell service. This would be a good place for a meetup with room for any sized RV. A few miles of dirt road to get there but they were in good condition.
