Then when we went to Hugo’s for breakfast, THEY WERE CLOSED. No sign to say why.
A totally wasted trip to Claremore.
We won’t make that mistake again.

Maybe at the VFW across the street. Showers were tiny with one plastic chair in dressing area not screened off from the restroom area. OK if you really need a shower. Sites are close together with no room for parking tow vehicles. Best part of this campground is its location near Hugo’s, one of the best breakfast places in Oklahoma. If you like bacon, Hugo’s is for you.

When we pulled up, my initial thought was, “here we go” and I began preparing for the worst. I was pleasantly surprised. The park was easily maneuverable, relatively clean, and quiet. We stayed only one night and would stay again.

Stayed here on the way to Austin for one night and it was fairly quiet with nice accommodations. Tried to stay again on the way back home. Someone’s house alarm kept going off and we kept hearing police sirens. This looks like a small town so we thought it would be quiet but we were WRONG there. Ended up leaving at midnight and driving 4 hours home because we couldn’t get a wink of sleep with all the noise.

Bathrooms/showers older but clean. Camp host friendly and helpful. Right next to expo center so may have things going on there. Flat level.
All sites are pull through.

Just needed to get out of snow for the night. A bit out of the way - 5 miles off I-44. Host very nice. Not many camped here. Got a pull thru so we didn’t have to disconnect. $32 for 30amp, sewer, water.

Nice find in the center of Claremore. Many urban camping areas are described as parking lots but this is anything but. There are a good number of trees throughout and large grassy areas surrounding the entire park, including pet areas on the south side. Roads and sites are all paved and level. The sites are all pull through with all hookups conveniently located in the center aisle (rigs parked next to each other would be pointing in different directions). $17 / night is for electric only. We had a great T-Mobile signal and over 30 TV stations (though PBS gave out for some reason though we had it a Lake Oolagah). The camp host and Expo staff were very nice and welcoming. Didn't see many of the neighbors but those that were there were friendly as well. Reasor's Super Market is close and very nice. Green Eyes Coffee shop is delightful and close as well.
