Nice Illinois state park. Great place to ride bikes and fish if you enjoy that. We arrived on a Thursday afternoon in mid-June and stayed through the weekend. Good space between sites. Excellent Verizon coverage with our phones and MiFi.

Quiet, lots of trees, good amount of space in between, good, hot showers. Will definitely stay here again.

For the Chicago land area this is one of the better campgrounds. We stayed here back in August so I don't remember all the details. Very large campground with many different areas. Takes 20 minutes to drive threw large. Lots of good hiking and especially biking right in the park. It is also connected to the Chain O' Lakes and has a boat dock, so plenty of water play options.
We got a tent site that we could fit our RV on for I think $12 a night. Cell service was spotty. Mosquitoes are bad. But for Chicagoland area this is the best your going to get for the price.
