This is a stunning area! The campground is relatively small but has RV and tent camping. The road from town (Harrison Hot Springs) is a logging road with plenty of potholes but we could totally handle it in our completely weighed down Volvo station wagon. It's about an 11 km drive which takes you past stunning Rainbow Falls.
We initially reserved site #5 online but on arrival we were incredibly disappointed with the space. Barely enough room for the tent and basically sharing a dirt patch with site #13. Luckily, we were able to shift to site #17 which had beach access. It was QUITE an upgrade!
If you plan on reserving spaces that aren't adjacent to the water (i.e.: 5, 6, 13, 14, 16), just know that you are missing out and may be very unsatisfied with your space. Spots 13, 14 and 16 look like they're adjacent to the water on the website map, but they're either up on a hill or set back behind a marshy area.
There are several outhouses, no running water, and you need to pack out your garbage. BUT there's also a great host who was very friendly and helpful! There were a couple ravens who loved to wake everyone up in the morning but otherwise we enjoyed this place a lot.
The lake is truly gorgeous. We brought up our SUPs and had an amazing time exploring.
