Checked in as soon as we could so we could hike some trails with sunshine. Nice signage on roads and trails. Did laundry - 2.00 a load per wash and same for dry. Showers looked decent but were in need of cleaning floors.
Husbands biggest complaint - went to dump station and there was NO WATER, potable or non. VERY unsanitary to not be able to rinse hoses. Another couple was searching other spigots so they could fill their rig. Never, in having traveled 49 states, have we come across a dump station that did not have at least, non-potable water for campers.
This state park was lovely and I would have rated it higher but the lack of water issue was unacceptable. Hopefully, they will resolve the issue soon and at minimum, inform you when you check in.
I indicated 46.00 per night - 36.00 per night for site plus daily pass for 10.00 required.

Just a one night stay. Sites were gravel and reasonably level, campgrounds were clean and well kept. Toilets and showers were clean and well lighted. Looked like many folks were planning on staying awhile so book ahead. Really a nice place.

We visited here in March, so that was the “off season”. Some of the facilities are closed but the Family restrooms are available, heated with a shower. Stayed just one night. We will be back!

We expected to stay only 1 night as enroute stop, but when the following day was 60s and sunny, we grabbed another night and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Syndney in the visitor center made it all happen and was very kind and helpful from the start and with other campers as well.
All sites are decent, but for the few of us that we’re staying in the Park in early March, it seemed Sites 45-50 with overlook were the highest in the demand. Showers had recently been turned on and were warm.

If you have dogs watch out for sticky birds which is pretty much throughout the whole park. The only downside to the park is you have to pay for EVERYTHING! Expect the toilets and dump station. For a total of $36 a night plus $9 parking even if you have a camping reservation for the park your staying in. The views were definitely worth a night stay over!

Dirt road in my campground. The sites all have a shelter with a table fire ring and charcoal grill over looking the lake.

Favorite - Scenery
Negatives - Site 12 is supposed to be big rig friendly but, it's not; steep at the nose with a wicked left hand turn required to get out of the site. We have a 45' 5ver and had a devil of a time getting level. When we tried to depart, there was a car in the site directly across from us requiring a very sharp left hand turn to get out. That would have been fine if there wasn't a drainage culvert and boulders at the exit, bent a stabilizer and part of the rear bike rack.

I love it here and we want to come back. Several of the spots were able to fit our 38' travel trailer, but they can be difficult backing into. The playground was also nice for my kids!

But when the smoke cleared our lake view site was all I was hoping for!! The lake is low (like every body of water in the west now) but still lovely with deep green forest all around.
50 amp electric only. Water available in the campground and clean and easily accessed dump at the entrance. Friendly and efficient check-in by masked (thank-you) staff. Good signage for finding site. Interior road is a little narrow for easy back-in by bigger rigs, but we were in in one try. Adequate asphalt parking for 35' MH and Jeep. Quiet and dark at night. Sites are mostly spacious, ours was especially large with nice picnic table, clean fire pit with grill, and gravel tent square.
