Great staff! Great views! Not worth the money though. Sites were packed tight next to each other. And lots of interstate noise including the use of "jake" brakes by truckers who use this feature to keep their big trucks in control when descending from the pass.

You'd best read the fine print...there is the rate and then add the "platform fee" and of course tax but if you're reserving on line there is the non refundable "Rover Pass" fee of $8. No I would not reserve this place again. What unknown fees might await ?

This is a small campground with great views, nice hookups and clean bathrooms and showers. I’d stay hear again in a heartbeat if I was heading this way again. What a great find!

Only reason a 4 instead of a 5 star review was due to very small spaces. We’re asked to unhook and squeeze our tow vehicle into our spot to allow room in the driveway for bigger rigs exiting. It worked out fine, just some extra work with concerning fit between the utilities and trailer. Seems there are too many rigs for the size of the property. In all fairness, this was a last minute reservation and next time we’ll make a reservation for the limited pull throughs.

Very nice location. There is some noise from 18 wheelers if you're outside at the provided tables, but nothing that bothered us in the RV. The views are great, the bathrooms are very clean, and the sites are level. Compendium had the place listed for 42 dollars per night, but after charging per person on top of 45 per site, it was around 68 dollars. There was no direct TV hook up as stated. The water hook up would not stop leaking "brand new hose." We may end up staying at the rest area or Walmart next time around just because of the price, but it was a nice place.

“Rude People And Curfew With Required Paid Entry ”
Reviewed 6/9/2023
The park was nice. However the owner was rude and trying to “help us park” it was a mess. Had to break down and ask them to leave us alone. Views were good off the back property. Tight spaces. Also, if you don’t get back in time, you have to pay a fee for them to come down to the gate to let you in.

We had a great stay! Good place to stop on your way to Colorado. Short drive from Trinidad which has some good food options. Bathhouse was clean, hosts were helpful when we arrived. Cafe is not open but that’s okay! Great views!

It was done through a RING doorbell and the map printer could use some fresh ink as it was very hard to read. Being on top of a pass on I-25 it was not too noisy. Not much to do in the immediate area so a drive is a must to get to any activities.
The restroom and laundry were very clean. Laundry is $1.25 each W/D.
Be prepared for very high winds! We were there April '23.
It really is best as a 1 night stay in my opinion. I would definitely stay again if passing through the area but 1 night only.

“Rude Rude Rude!”
noted 7/5/2023
I called (twice) to change our dates because of 2 family emergencies (called second time because I didn’t have my paperwork in front of me and wanted to make sure I did call). The woman I talked to was very rude and told me I had called four times - I did not! She then said, “I’ll just cancel your entire reservation.” I was shocked but not feeling good about staying there anyway with her attitude. I made another reservation somewhere else. Right now we are going through a lot as a family and I would have appreciated a little bit of understanding.

Overall beautiful place to stay. We're from Colorado and it's way cheaper for water and electric hookups.
