This is probably the worst RV Park I've ever been in and I'm a full-timer. I was there from 12/06 to 01/06. It was dark and gloomy. The sites are unpaved so mud, mud, mud. It was impossible to keep the trailer's floor clean. The manager was nasty. When I arrived he insisted I purchase his heated hose for $150. When I refused and said I wouldn't attach my hose he called me a liar. I asked to store a second trailer and he sold me a site that was full of debris and refused to clean it up. He came to my site once and pounded on the door, threatening to have my truck towed because it was parked just outside the site. The placed smelled like a sewer for the first couple of weeks I was there. The only good thing about this place is the tent camping area that is closed and therefore a good place to walk my dog. There are no amenities at all, making this place way overpriced. (The price I put at the top is based on the monthly rate of $650.)

Plenty of space for our truck/camper. The site was level, but dirt, so I would imagine it would get muddy in the winter. There is some understory beneath the tall fir trees which made for a nice feel, with a little bit of privacy for some spots. Most spots were filled with what appeared to be long-timers, though most were pretty tidy. We were disappointed that the bathroom/showers were closed due to water shortage. There was road noise that mostly subsided at night, much better than the alternatives along I-5. Overall it was a decent place for a stopover just a few miles from I-5.

The price of $42 nightly was actually the weekly rate. Then of course the taxes. I mentioned I was getting a rental car and expected family to be in and out so I was given a larger site to accommodate at least two cars. Gentleman was very polite and accommodating. I really enjoy the feel of being in the great “outdoors” but at the same time felt a bit of concern over brush that was a bit overgrown. Connections were fine and several over air tv stations. The office was also a small general store that had most basics. Setting was quite relaxing. The biggest downside for me was no showers because of covid. Laundry was a short ride into town and was given a map for convenience.

This place will sneak up on you after you make the final turn off the hwy. the sign is pretty carved wood set into a big for tree... the lettering is dark and hard to see until you are right on top of it but, if you know that, it helps to keep an eye out. Husband and I had to arrive separately, there was no problem for me to check in with his reservation. There are some long term and full time folks here, a few kids on bikes so, please drive safely. The Lots were situated so to created easy back in (even for little ol’ me by myself). Electrical panels are new and clean and easy to connect to. Sewer and water were easy too. Antenna worked great. Verizon 4G was only 3 bars at best but not too bad. Space/Lot were clean with convenient trash cans at every spot. Interesting bell-south phone booth near our space in the woods... I kept waiting for Roofus or Bill and Ted to show up...nice picnic tables and little home crafted hubcap bbqs at every spot. We are self contained and did not venture to the bathrooms so, I have no input there, though the reputation leaves something to be desired. The staff is awesome. So friendly and helpful giving us maps and directions to their favorite local eateries. I felt safe and secluded, there was a little daily traffic noise but nothing after 7pm. Neighboring campers were quiet too!

The park is a mix of long term residents and short term. The park does not allow wood fires, so a propane fire pit would be necessary.
Most of the spots were being used while we were there, and a lot of them had garbage strewn about the site.

There is trash, and unused vehicles. The entire park is so unkept and neglected. I admired all the trees and ‘natural’ feel at first that I didn’t notice the ugly. So many piles of brush, limbs and branches. Seriously doesn’t look like anybody has any love for this park at all.

Campendium quoted $10 but it’s $42.50 p nt. So check rate before you book. For that price we’ll stay at the state forest park
